10mins a day? Or twice a day for 10 each.

Up from birth apparently its extremely important to get your baby to do it. Builds muscle and something about making them smarter..

If your newborn is already lasting a few mins at a time then you have nothing to worry about!! Many babies can't handle that long for several months, so your bub is doing fine :)

My DS is 9mths and still gets crabby after a few mins on his belly - he's not crawling yet so gets frustrated easy.

As long as the baby is happy too be on their tummy :)

DD was always on her tummy from birth and had great head support by 6 weeks.

Fold their arms under their head and placing a mirror or yourself in front of them is usually the best way to get them to enjoy tummy time.

I agree. As much as they are happy with. We tried to put DS down on his mat for a few minutes after each daytime feed as his play time. Switching between back and front.

Up to 10 mins at a time... Start from birth and several times a day and only when they are awake and alert usually after a nappy change and before a feed my dd is 11 wks now and sometimes she will only last a few mins so don't worry if they don't do the full 10 mins a few time shes fallen asleep

My bub has always hated tummy time, so we only last a few minutes at a time. It's hard to listen to the screaming for longer than that! We were told to just do it more frequently - if you cant do it for a longer time, just do it more often for short periods of time.

On the advice of my LC we put DS down for tummy time after every daytime feed. No time limit - just until he cracks it, but it's around 10mins each time...

All my kids loved there tummy time hated being on there back from day 1 but they all had excellent head control from the moment they were born.. Even the doctors and midwife would freak out on how straight they would hold there head up when I was in hospital sorry no advice

I do tummy time as long as they're happy, never actually timed either of my kids! DS crawled by 6.5 months but DD didn't crawl until she was 8 months, babies are all so different.
