My DD ALWAYS wakes up crying with wind pains. They really do interupt her sleep. I am burping her a couple of times during feeding. What else can I do ??? Once she's awake I can help her get the wind out (bicycle legs), that's not a problem. But I'm concerned that she's not getting the amount of sleep she should.
You could try a 'wind medicine' for bubs ie infacol, infants friend, brauer also make a more natural tonic too!

I actually tried all these when DD was very little. Some of them worked for a day or so but then didn't do much for her. The problem eventually just seemed to sort itself out, or the wind stopped bothering her so much. Now we are back to square one and it is really bothering her again :banghead: .
Perhaps I'll give the drops another go. :fingerscrossed: Not sure what else I can try.

My baby had the same wind problems from 7 weeks of age, by 14 weeks we figured out she was intolerant to wheat and dairy. This was done with the help of a Naturopath (could also use a dietician or homeopath) who suggested I stopped eating wheat and dairy - within days she no longer would wake from a sore tummy and farting.
I test her every now and then by eating some bread or having milk, but she still has the farting and lots of night waking, for us it's usually 36 hours later (takes that long to go through the boobs and into her tummy and cause her pain).
So it may be diet related.

We had a similar situation but we were looking at it all wrong.(not saying that you are just sharing my experience)The wind wasn't waking bubs it was the temp change and then he was unable to resettle as he realised he had tummy pains. We fixed that by using a heater with a saftey switch and thermostat to avoid big temp changes at dawn.In the day we would use Marina infant mixture,That stuff is natural and was great for us.I use it on me:p eventually DS grew out of this stage:smiliedance: goodluck with your bubs.Remember if all else fails get proffessional help.
