i was diagnosed with endometriosis when i was 18...i had surgery to remove half my left ovary...n was put on the pill after that...i was on the pill for 7 years before coming off it to ttc, after i was told i would probably not be able to conceive naturally...3 mths after coming off the pill, i was pregnant...with twins no less...my twins are now 6 years old and i have been ttc for over a year with no luck...i have recently started vitex for irregular cycles, so i hoping that will be my silver lining...good luck, and don't give up hope :)
Just wanted to add a positive story in here. I had severe endo removed beginning of July. Also had my uterus and stomach wall separated and still have endo on my bowel and my bowel adhered to my uterus (and not sure what else as they couldn't get a good look via the lap). We have been TTC for 2.5 years and have undergone fertility treatment.
On my 3rd cycle (second of TTC cause we couldn't DTD on the first cycle due to recovery) we got our BFP! Still early days as I'm only 5weeks but the fact that we can conceive naturally is amazing.

I have severe endo and have had to have it surgically removed 3 times. I was worried that we would never fall pregnant. We were trying with no luck then I had surgery again this year and it had grown back everywhere. The Dr removed it all again and I fell pregnant naturally the 4th cycle after surgery.
He told me that during surgery they really poke around in the uterus and it irritates the lining for 1-3 cycles, but after that, you're more likely to fall pregnant.
Good luck! I highly recommend having another check up with your endo specialist if you haven't had one recently as this time I had no symptoms that it had all grown back. In the past I had extreme pain so I was surprised that there was so much in there.

Here's my story - had lap for severe menstrual pain in Aug 2011. Was found to have severe endo on the bladder, bowel and ovary and other places in the pelvis. However, the tubes were apparently ok with the dye test. Went on the pill for 4 months post surgery and have been trying to conceive ever since - a year now.
Have tried OPK's, acupuncture. This month we'll try Pre-seed for the first time. In all the investigations was found incidentally to be hypothyroid and put on a small dose of thyroxine.
I'm 32, Hb is 34 with 'excellent' sperm count.
Does anyone have any thoughts about any of this??
BTW, I'm new to this forum (as far as posting goes). Have read it a lot and get inspiration and hope from any positive stories.. At this stage, IVF is looking like the way to go in March / April because I don't want the endo to come back again!
Cheers xx

Unfortunately we have been Ttc for over 5 years, I've had surgery to remove the endo 4 times the latest one was Oct 2010, had 2 iui's and just had my 2nd ivf cycle cancelled. Some days I wonder if I will ever get pregnant.
I've had endometriosis for about 13yrs now. Mine is mostly on my bowel. I also have PCOS.
DH and I conceived naturally (randomly) after 3yrs of trying off and on. We were actually saving for IVF.
Don't lose hope!
I had a laparoscopy in 2010 after ttc for over a year. I had no miscarriages or anything in this time. I had very long cycles with spotting for about a week before each period. My lap revealed some endo on my uterine wall and a slight spot on my ovary. Tubes were ok and not blocked. However they also removed a large cyst near my ovary as well as fibroids. I was offered clomid after my lap, however ended up parting ways with my parter which made me grateful I was not pregnant. It's now 2013 and I now have the most loving and supportive man in my life and to be honest I had really thought it wasn't possible to conceive and we weren't trying.
im very grateful to be 10 wks preg. I wasn't following any special diet, still had the occasional wine nor was I drinking the disgusting herb stuff the naturopath had suggested I try back in 2010.
just wanted to share something positive as I know what it's like to be reading this forum hoping endo isn't the end if the world xx

Congratulations Evadiva and thanks for sharing your positive story.
Still no luck at my end but we're going to give 'natural' a bit more of a go before attempting IVF - at this stage planning for June or thereabouts. Saving a miracle occurring before then.. It is very uplifting to hear stories like yours and gives me hope that one day we will be as lucky..
In the meantime we are going back to see the gyno who did the laparoscopy (who doesn't do IVF) for an opinion regarding ? repeat laparoscopy. Time will tell..
Thanks again
