Hi all - just wondering how many bottle/milk feeds your bubs have at this age group please.

My DS still has 4 - approx 7, 11, 3.30 & 6.30. At what age am I supposed to drop him to 3 (breaky/lunch/bed)? Also when I should I start offering food before milk?

DD is 9 months and we are on the same routine as you.

She's not a massive eater or drinker and is about 8.5kgs

Has 4 bottles about 200ml each and 3x solids a day with some snacks if she's awake.

2 sleeps a day.

She scoffs her first 2 bottles and last so I think the 3rd may be the first to go, but no sign of needing to drop it yet for us.

Sorry ... That's not much help!!

Actually that is a help, thanks! At least I know it's normal to still have 4.

I guess we know they are ready to drop one when they don't drink all 4?? At the moment he still finishes almost all of them (200ml too).

From memory DS dropped his lunch one first about ten months, then afternoon about 12 months, morning 14 months and still has one before bed now at 18 months but the last few nights has not finished it!
I started giving lunch before bottle at ten months , which is when his appetite really increased and at about 12 months started offering food first for all meals

Hi my DS is 9.5 months and is still having 4x 200 bottles / 24 hrs. He only has 3 of a day, and is still waking in the middle of the night :|. He has recently stopped eating solids though, so I really don;t mind the middle of the night feed. I offer food before bottle and have been doing so for a good couple of months. So DS currently has a bottle about 9, 2 and 7.. that is, after breakfast, after lunch and after dinner, before naptime and bedtime...and then sometime in the middle of the night, anywhere from 11-4. I thought that this routine might be why he hasn't been eating, but it has worked well for us right up until now, and it hasn't seemed to make a difference to his eating if I give him his bottle first in the morning. I dont think I've been much help..lol.. but at least it gives you a comparison :)

Oh wow. My 9 month old is nuts for solids. She'll often refuse a bottle but gobble up solids, so I've been giving solids first for a few weeks now (since about 8 months). I'm lucky if she drinks 350ml a day, most of it before bed.

So glad you asked I have been wondering the same thing my 8.5 month old daughter is having 3 solid meals a day and 4 210ml bottles but the 3rd I think will be the first to go she always leaves at least 60mls if not more! I am happy for her to have it as long as she wants though as she isn't always the best eater when it comes to solids? It's like one day she can't get enough and the next she can't be bothered!!

Wow - this is exactly the same as us, right down to the 60ml sometimes, ha! At least I can continue knowing its normal, thanks :)
