Ds is nearly 6.
Lately hes been so mean and nasty, I dont know what to do :(
He snatches, yells, gets angry, cries all the time over silly things and is just generally annoying. He also tells me I'm the worst mother in the world.
Hes been getting progressively worse over the last month.
I try not to yell at him but that is the only way I can get him to do anything :(
I just want my sweet little boy back

for us it happened at 7. not to the extent your guy is going to, but definitely not able to control his emotions, especially anger.
saying things like "are you going to be a good mother today and spend time with me?" :o! what do u call the hour we just spent baking, and playing board games, and the two hours of speech and OT activities we did, and what about the movie we are watching RIGHT NOW!
butthead. lol.
i think its normal. i hope it is anyways.

Thanks
My sister told me that they get a surge of testosterone around that age. Just wanting to know if others have experienced it.

It is normal for some kids to do that, It is a stage but you need to make sure you deal with it IYKIM. I tend to tell mine that I still love them no matter what horrible things they say and that they still need to do what ever they were told to do.

Thank goodness it's not just my lil guy doing this. He's nearly 7 and over the last few months has started going through sullen moments where he doesn't answer when spoken to, even though he's looked at you while being spoken to.
No problems with anger or anything though, he's mostly still his gorgeous self. Good to know its just a stage.

Sounds about right. DS is 5 and seems to be doing a lot of those things like yours. It's making the toddler stage seem tame!

Sounds about right to me too, I have an almost six year old girl who's doing similar things at the moment. Hope he doesn't take too long to pass through this stage for you.
