I'm so confused?? AHHHH

Hi Ladies,

I need some help please. This is my first month of charting my temperature, using opk's and monitoring my cm. I thought I had an understanding of how these methods work but this is what's happened:

Friday & Sat I did an opk -ve, no ewcm.
Sunday opk very faint ghost line, no ewcm.
Monday opk -ve not even a ghost line, almost ewcm.
Tuesday opk -ve, ewcm
Wednesday opk -ve, ewcm (lots) (sorry if TMI)
Today opk -ve, no ewcm, no increase in temperature.

I thought opk would be +ve the same time as ewcm & if I'd o'd my temp would have risen?

Can anyone shed some light please

Hi. You may have just missed your LH surge (as you may have a short surge). I had the same problem. I reckon you may have o'd Tues as there is not necessarily and temp surge on the day after O. Do you use Fertility freiend? If not I REALLY recommend it as it takes some of the guess work out of it and reads your signs. Irs you temp going up at all? It may take 2/3 days to go up properly (mine does!).

I would be concentrating on the CM and temp signs and not the OPK. OPKs dont work for everyone or you may have missed the surge, some girls say its best to use them twice a day so you dont miss a surge.

If your temp didnt rise, as long as you are taking it correctly (check out www.fertilityfriend.com if you have not already) then you most likely have not Od yet OR your temp may rise tomorrow.

I've been using fertility friend to chart my temps but it hasn't increased yet.

I've been having problems with the opk's (which I asked about last month and was advised to change brands) as the ovunow ones weren't giving me a +ve result. This month I used both ovunow & fortel. Every month since I started using the opks I'd get a ghost line about CD 13, then a strong line (almost +ve) on CD 14, then a ghost line on CD 15 & on CD 16 nothing. I started testing on thursday last week which was CD 9 and have had no lines bar the 1 ghost line. I test twice a day and with 2 different brands of opk's.

I have just started using the OPK's and saliva tests this month. None of my signs have corrulated at all. According to the saliva test, I should have O'd last week, the OPK tells me it should have happened 2 days ago and I've only just got the EWCM in the last few days. I haven't had a sustained temp rise so I'm thinking I will probably O tomorrow or the next day (which will be the same CD as previous month).

I'm thinking of just concentrating on the temps and CM next month.........cause they seem to be be most accurate for me. Maybe you should try the same thing?

Tell you what, the manufacturers of the OPK's must be laughing all the way to the bank!! They're making plenty of money from us all! :laughing:

Lucas'smum I think your right I think I did O on tuesday I had a u/s this morning and the sonographer said I had definately O'd she also asked if I'd had any pain in my abdomen (other than af cramps) which I did late monday & early tuesday (I didn't think anything of it at the time) which she thinks were caused by the folicle bursting. She also warned I might be in for another sharp pain as there is a corpus luteal cyst in my right ovary:rolleyes:

Angelgirl he's not getting anymore $$ from me :devil6:, I'm going to try going by cm & temping next month (if I don't get a BFP) as well.

My temp still hasn't risen but I was wondering would it be effected by taking painkillers?:confused:
