leaking mcn thru the night?

DD 15mths has been leaking thru her mcn's just this last week. I dont know what's going on. I get her out of her cot in the morning and she is soaked.
I went back to cloth and she still leaked.
Last night i used a huggies disposable as last resort and that was the worst of the lot!

I use Pea Pod's with the night booster and have been for the last 10months of her life. They fit well, no gaps. Never had a problem untill this week.
She doesnt get to them as she wears a onesie and a growbag to bed.
She doesnt wake at all during the night but gees it must feel horrible.

I think she just has ALOT of wee...lately?
Im sick of the full clothing change every morning this week.
I dont know what i'm doing wrong for every nappy to leak.

can anyone help?

Sounds obvious but do they need a strip wash? Or is there just too much wee for them to handle?

DS was weeing through his nappies during naps so I've adjusted the rise so it's higher and put an extra booster in. It's stopped the problem for now.

Hi , what's a strip wash? This rise is at it's highest and if i put another booster in, its so fat that i cant do it up lol
She doesnt wet thru during her day naps. It must be the amount that they cant handle. Just bummed, i dunno what to do now :(

The onesie's not riding up into the leg elastic is it? We've had several leaks because of that- solution was to upsize in clothes so it was nice and loose in the bottom area.

Sorry, i dont understand this. I dont use detergent on the nappies, i soak and wash in nappy soaker. I thought washing machines get all the suds out anyways? thanks for the advice though.

nice bit of crumpet - I've heard that soaking in nappy soaker can clog the nappies up, same as using certain types of washing powder/liquid. so a strip wash is a good idea.

it's a hot wash on the longest cycle and repeat until there are no more suds. because my laundry is outside and I have a front loader so usually miss seeing if there are suds I just put it on the longest hot (60) cycle with a prewash and post rinse added to the cycle, makes it a huge wash, 3h20min but I do that plus 1 more wash cycle (without the added bits) and there's no more bubbles.

I don't use washing powder at all as I dry in the sun, we don't have a dryer so no option there! lol

If that doesn't work then perhaps if it's too tight with the extra boosting your DD might have outgrown the fit of the pea pods. I know my DD is always a size up in any disposables we've used ie she was weighing 8kg but we needed the 10-15kg sposies etc. all depends on their shape.

I bought a night nappy yesterday at the expo in sydney, an Issy bear night nappy and I've just finished washing it and hoping to try it out tonight.

Eek that's likely the problem there! You're not meant to soak MCN's or use nappy soaker solution - it can completely ruin them and it definitely shortens the lifespan of the nappy. Just dry pail, put them on rinse cycle when it's time for washing, then put them on a long wash with a little bit of wash liquid/powder.

Most MCN's need a strip wash from time to time anyway, so I would recommend that as well. With strip washes, make sure you completely fill the machine and use hot water. On the first wash, squirt in a little bit of dish washing liquid (this is recommended by most MCN retailers), then wash them for as many loads needed until there are no suds in the water. Don't use any other detergents.

Also bear in mind that some kids are wee machines, so you might need to look into a specialised night nappy. I highly recommend Sandman night nappies :)
