ok girls who finding out the sex of there bubs?

ok I AM and i cant wait... Lets make a list of what u think your having and after the scan u can put in what they said ur having....
and ppl who arnt can also be on the list so at the end we can see whos was right or whos intuition was right...

predictions........

I honestly can't decide. I do, because I can't wait till April to find out, but at the same time, I would like that little surprise.

I found out with the boys, but Brooke wasn't sharing on either of the scans I had, so she was a surprise.

My parents and sisters don't want to know and were quite mad when they found out with the boys (DH kept using the word "he" so they guessed). But to me, I don't really care what sex they are, I just want their kidneys to be okay and to have no cleft lip/palate present. I wish they saw things from my point of view and didn't get so upset about finding out the sex a few months early.


Finding out early also makes it easier to buy clothes, seeing as you cannot get anything unisex these days.

Oh, I also think I'm having a girl.....how nice would 2 pigeon pairs be. And going boy, girl, boy, girl as well!!

finding out in a week and a bit (11 days i think) actually belinda im pretty sure that it was me and you that have the same scan date (6th November)? it was me and someone.

but to answer the question i think i am having a girl
for a long time i had no idea, but in the last few weeks i have started to think that its a girl.

and i agree it is really hard to get unisex baby clothes, been looking in the shops and most of it is either pink or blue.

yeh baby clothing is so blue or pink, tho funnily enough my DP came to the conclusion that the green that bonds rompers are out in at the moment, is a good colour cuz either way it goes with pink and blue. and hes actually right! wow who woulda thought he was colour co-ordinated!

i have bought a bit of baby clothes - couldnt help myself i was shopping for my friends baby shower and i just had to get a bit of stuff for our baby.
i managed to find a few nice greens and yellows that could be used for either, but i dont want a whole wardrobe full of greens and yellows.

kmart actually had a sale on the other day where if you bought one piece of clothing you got another one half price.

Hiya All!..

We WILL certainly be finding out the sex, there is no way I could wait that long! My scan is on the 10th November, and mate... I am so hanging out for it!.. I honestly believe with my diet and the way this pregnancy has been that I am having a little GIRL!

:fingerscrossed: Fingers Crossed that I am right - we already have a son, and I would love a little Girl, but if I am having a Boy, I will certainly love him just as much as I love my son.

OOhhhh I can't wait! *So excited!!!*

I really want to know but DF doesn't. And I know that if I did find out, I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret from him. So grrr. :( We have our scans on the 23rd November so hopefully by then I'll have his mind changed.. but I doubt it. He's a really stubborn pain!

We're not planning to find out. I like the idea of a suprise.

A friend of mine who used to be a midwife told me that there is no feeling in the world like being in the labour room when a woman in labour doesn't know the sex of the baby - it adds another layer of excitement and anticipation.

Once she told me that, I decided that I didn't want to miss out on that feeling, so, we're not planning to find out.

That said though, I have a really strong feeling it is a girl, and DH thinks it is a boy.

I can honestly say I have no idea, none what soever, you would think I would know, but nope!
The only thing I have is I am craving savoury, thats it, ooh, and the sonographer "thought" she may have seen a willy at the 12 week u/s, but I dont believe that!! (Not one pineapple fritter yet!! ) lol

I would like to give Callum a brother, but that is just hope, and not intuition....

sorry, but put me in the no idea category....

Yes we are finding out. I find out on the 5th December. I am so excited.

We found out with DD too.

I just think it makes everything so much easier when you know. You can buy clothes, paint, decorate and tell people what you are having so they can buy the right colour stuff.

I've always wanted it to be a suprise, ever since I can remember. I didnt get a wedding let alone my dream one so have to keep something from those childhood dreams:thumbsup:

Dunno how its gunna go down here though - forgot to speak to the doc about it. DH didnt even know it was an option to keep it secret. All I have to find out now is, is that normal practice in Japan - have no choice just get told....or is my DH just a little bit silly.:laughing: I would guess the latter but you never know here.

Everyone at his work thinks its a girl. But its Japanese custom to want a girl first and they dont know me and havent see me. Going by food its savoury all the way baby so Im going with western tradition of wanting a boy first to protect his little sister. Thats if Im ever willing to go thru this again!!!:laughing:

hi um I think for those of us who arnt finding out the sex of the baby we are putting our due date dates cause thats when we will know obviously- but for others its there scan dates - cause thats when they will be finding out.... :D

i though it was the date of the ultrasound when we were finding out the sex and whoever arnt finding just leave there due date there.... i think....

so just delete the date if you find out then add girl or boy...

I'm really stuck. I've always said that I'd never find out prior to the birth but there are so many pros about finding out now.....
My kind sisters have given me 5 large blue/red/white strip bags of baby boy clothes (thanks to my 7 nephews) which is great (if I have a boy). Only thing is, I don't really want to go washing them all if I end up having a girl.

Then I also know a woman who was told be 3 independant and qualified doctors (or similar) that she was having a particular sex (I can't remember which one it was) then at birth finding out that the bub was actually the other sex (what the?)

Oh and another thing.... I can never remember (esp with baby mush brain).... when you do the ring on string over belly test.... what is it when goes in circles???

I am so hoping for a boy but DH thinks a girl.......

confused!

I know I'll be okay tomorrow, and I know I'll be even more okay when he is born because I wont care....I'll be so in love. I just had it in my head that it was going to be a little girl, now I know he will be a big 10.5lb+ boy. :(

I know I'll be okay tomorrow, and I know I'll be even more okay when he is born because I wont care....I'll be so in love. I just had it in my head that it was going to be a little girl, now I know he will be a big 10.5lb+ boy.

I was the same, I thought I was having a girl too and was hoping for one but I am having a boy too! Initialy I was a little disappointed (and feel bad for feeling that way, because really a slong as it is healthy who cares, we will love him when he's here) but now I am really excited because I will be living in a house full of boys (including all the animals!) and that is really exciting because the boys will dote over the female of the house :yes:

Good luck with your boy, :fingerscrossed: crossed bubs are too big so it isnt so hard to get them out! :eek:

Ooh Jeanette,

My mate, I was EXACTLY the same with Charleigh, I was sooooo upset that she was a girl for weeks after the amnio, weeks, I actually almost had depression over it, but over the months following, I came to accept that I was to have 3 girls and one boy.. Now, omg, Im rapt she is a girl, she is just the most precious baby, and I think she would have been no where as dear to me if she was a boy..

Lol, gives you an excuse to go again matey..lol.., like me....lol....

Love ya mate, and you can say what you like and what your feeling no probs!!

Jeanette you didn't hold out very long !!!!:laughing: Congratulations on your son - once the shock wears off and you re-adjust all will be OK.

I think I will be in shock if they tell me I'm having a boy - intially I wanted a boy (they are such big sooks) and I have this theory that the first born if a girl never gets along with their mother ????

Now I'm wanting a girl... go figure ? Doesn't really matter though does it ! As long as its healthy and sleeps well ... LOL

Congrats Jessie on your daughter - great that DH gave in so we could all know your fantastic news. I'm so excited for you both.

hahahah so true Angel-kisses so much food, you should see my brother and my dad pack it away...I seriously built my dad up to legend status to my husband regarding how much food he can eat, but he kinda let me down and only ate 6 plates at the all-you-can-eat seafood restuarant when we went home. Still DH was impressed, and had to show off and try eat a 600g steak (300g is larger size here):laughing:

Kaz240 - I have never thought aot it before but I agree with your therory. I have never gotten on with my mother and I am the 1st born but all my friends got on with their mum really well and Im thinking about it now, none of them are 1st born...hmmmm. Someone should research that one!!!:detective:

Jeanette, Its strange about the theory of which kids get along with Mum the best. I am the 4th child out of 5 in our family and I find I get along with our mother better than the whole 5 of them for some reason? I think its because I am always ringing mum for a chat and she always contacts me when she's after something! *L* ;) Maybe I am just the sucker in the family? *L* But there was a time there in my Teenage years where we just didnt get along with eachother! *L* hahah

My mum is always putting me, DH and the kids down, so I try to avoid her. Yet my sisters are the golden girls and can do no wrong.

I am feeling much better about the boy thing today. I went and brought 4 blue bonds stretchsuits (brand new condition!) this morning, plus a nice blue Paddington bear stretchsuit thingy. Oh, and a cute red and blue knitted beanie....newborn size. :D Cost me $5 for the lot.

Jeanette, they sound absolutely gorgeous! :D

I was in K-mart today and I must say they had absolutely cr@p all there for little girls, all the good stuff that was cute was all boys stuff!.. At K-mart they have a buy one outfit and get the other at 60% off! I wanted some nice girls winter rompers or outfits but they had cra@p all, it was depressing!

And that is a real bummer the way your mother treats you!.. But you know you don't have to put up with her, better off avoiding her if she is going to be like that. Its a shame some family members are like that! I have a fair few family members I avoid as well! They are in every family!
