At the moment I am 5 weeks pregnant and I know it is early days yet and lots can happen.

We are living in Singapore and I have my OB here all ready to go, the thing is I am travelling back to Australia from weeks 10 to 18 and I will need to see someone there and have any scans and check ups done while I am home.

We may be staying in Singapore for the birth or then again we may be moving back home. We won't find out until maybe January next year so I need a Doc who is willing to coordinate with the one I have here.

I have a blood clotting disorder so I need a really good OB. Possibly one who works at St Johns but if anyone can recommend any other hospitals and OB's north of the river please tell me.

I had an older female OB last time and while I think she was good at what she does she was a bit cold and I felt that some of her methods were a little out of touch. I am a person, not a car that needs overhauling.

Well I think that explains just about everything so if you can help me at all please let me know. Thanks. :)

You could try Dr Linda Wong in Subiaco. She covers both St John of Gods and KEMH I believe. She's youngish, not motherly but does take the time if you have concerns. Only thing I noticed is that you have to bring up your concerns, she may not always ask if you have questions etc. But once you ask she's happy to oblige and I never felt rushed through an appointment.

Her office number is 08 9382 3655.

When I went to her all scans and testing were arranged to be done at the clinics at St John of Gods Subiaco and I found the ultrasound doctor and the nurses (for blood tests) to be excellent.

There have been a few other threads about obs in Perth if you haven't already done a search.

Thanks MathaM, I'll check her out. Is she usually booked solidly? Do I have to book her now just in case or do you think I'd be able to get in to her in January?

I'd advise to book early. Dr Wong was actually the 3rd or 4th ob I tried to get into. I started looking when I was only 6 or 7 weeks preg but many book out quite quickly. They will ask your expected due date and will only take a set number of due dates each month, which makes sense as the dr could only handle so many deliveries at a time!
