Hi sexy-minx .... well I am going to try and relax and be happy and not take it as seriously. I have also just signed up with Fertile Mind and Body (fertility herbalist) and my first lot of herbs arrive this week. Plus I am going to try pre-seed again. Apart from that it will be the usual bding like mad around o and using opk's :laughing:

Good luck - I hope it's your month :thumbsup:

Hi Sexyminx....Evening Primrose Oil can be bought at Health Food Shops or Chemist I think. I have been told to take it from Naturapath in the past to help with your cm, it can help with your mood swings, cramps and most 'down there' issues he,he. But most of all it can help the swimmers travel smoothly and fast up to the eggy. I must admit I was taking it the first time around when I was pregnant with my DS.

OH and it's capsules, I think you take 2-3 per day.

Well...
* Take Blackmores Prego & B/F GOLD Multis - obvious use :p
* Take Omega 3 capsule (extra dose as it is already in BMores) - Because Im a vego
* Take Acidophilus live cultures - good for your health
* Take Vit B12 sublingual tablet - I have low B12, they thought I had Pernicious Anemia where your body cannot absorb it but its more likely to be because of my stress levels producing too much cortisol which uses up B12. I used to have injections but now they have pumped me full of B12 with them I just take a daily sublingual tablet (one you disolve under your tounge).
* Take Magnesium tablet - its magnesium and some other trace elements.

My Naturopath (www.bodytalkhealth.com.au) recomended me to be on these.

The girls night in will be heaps of fun, we have llot of activities planned and hope to raise over $500 for Womens cancers, last year we raised over $350. You are welcome to come but the trip down to Adelaide probably wouldnt be worth it for you! :laughing:

Well, given this is my first month of TTC, I'm trying to keep it relatively low-tech. I'm charting though to get the timing of the BDing right, I'm pretty confident though we'll be trying to keep the odds as high as possible though by going for frequency :thumbsup: .

DH and I have both been trying to be really healthy for a few months now:
- A good multi-vitamin with zinc and selenium for DH and folate and other stuff for me
- fish oil with Omega 3
- a healthy low-GI diet, but that's kind of life for me anyway with my shocking metabolism!
- trying to stay relaxed and positive and enjoy the whole thing
- oh, and DH is wearing boxers to keep the little guys cool and comfy!

It's all still fun at the moment - I hope it stays that way and we get the BFP before there is any cause for worry or disappointment - I'm sure we all want that!

I'm cheering for all of you! You go girls. :smiliedance:

Forgot to say I am also going to keep doing what we have already been doing.

Taking pergnancy multi with fish oil + iodine (pretorius)
Taking EPO, extra zinc + extra vit e.
Avoiding caffeine (drinking herbal tea) and not much alcohol
Eating healthy
DH is taking swiss multi, zinc, vit e & l carnitine (I think he nearly rattles when he walks :laughing: )

:fingerscrossed: for us all this month ... bring on those :bfp:

It's my first month off implanon so i'm

*trying to take it easy and not stress too much (although it is hard cause I have no idea about my cycle atm!)

*OPK's to try and figure out when that eggy will be here

*BD every night/second night

*Take vitex

*Take folate

*Try not to be too disapointed if AF does arrive, it's hard cause i've fallen so easily the other times, i'm putting myself under a lot of self pressure un-intentionally:(

I thought i'd fill this in so i've got a record of the huge amount of stuff i'm taking - interesting reading what others are doing too!

The past couple of months i've been taking:
*B-vitamins
*Zinc
*Omega 3 and 6
*and avoiding alcohol (although i think it would probly be better to have a few drinks every now and then for my stress!!)
*cutting down caffeine to 1 coffee a day
*charting with temps, CM, CP and OPK's
*yoga and walking a couple of times per week

This month I took:
*Soy isoflavones for 5 days
*Drank green, raspberry leaf and red clover tea (nearly) every day
*Put more effort into enjoying BDing rather than sticking to a schedule (which was getting tiresome)
HOpefully out of all of that something works!

There are a few changes we have decided on for this month, we've come close but close enough isn't good enough :no:

CYCLES PREVIOUS TO THIS ONE:
* Guesstimated cycle length and when I would be likely to O
* Took prenatal vitamins
* Additional folic acid
* Spent less time on bubhub
* Succumbed to a busy schedule and ate out more
* Excercised less

THIS CYCLE:
* Started taking temps & checking cm etc daily
* Exercised daily (except for dreadful weather)
* Started taking Vitex again
* Prenatal vitamins
* Took 1000mg of folic acid (in addition to prenatals, helps after m/c's)
* BD'd less (mainly due to worrying about m/c again)
* Had NO caffine at all
* Life became more stressful in one area

NEXT CYCLE FOR A :bfp:
* Continue with the vitex
* BD more often
* Continue with the daily exercise
* Stress less
* Taking more additional herbs and tonics
* Think positive and minimise negative thoughts
* My secret weapon I think will be more gardening (as a stress reliever)

I think that I need a new hobby :rolleyes:

Well, first off no stress!! That means no stressing about the signs that could be pregnancy but usually turn out to have been nothing.lol.
Second-making an appointment at Dr. to see why my cycles are so long.
Starting prenatal vitamins.
Eating more green leafy foods and stuff with soy in it.
Checking cm.
Using opk's.
Bd'ing every other day, rather than everyday.
Not going to think about how my body never does what it should be doing!!!
Well thats about it. I don't want to get to complicated until after I see the Dr.

LjHarmony, your needing a new hobby comment made me LOL! Ain't that the truth! I don't know what I did with myself before reading baby and pregnancy books/websites like there's no tomorrow.

You reminded me that I'd forgotten to include in my list my other thing for this month - no more reading baby, pregnancy and child birth books!! I've got a ridiculous stack of them next to my bed. They're all going back to the library, so I can focus on the fun side of baby-making and not be hyper-aware of every possible complication and statistic etc re the odds of falling pregnant at 33! I'm actually a really big reader of literature and just realised I've hardly read anything much for some weeks!! What's happening to me? :eek:

Now :rolleyes: . . just to choose what novel to read in my getting relaxed and having fun mode . . . hmmm, maybe something light and romantic . . .

The hobby and book comments gave me a laugh too.

We are TTC #2 this month, first month of trying. Had no troubles with number one.

Since being on this forum I have learnt so much and kinda forget that others may not know the same- OPK, FF, Temps, Vitex, O, Clomid, CM etc etc. Or may not be aware that many women struggle to concieve.

Anywho, story goes

I was at playgroup and was saying how we are TTC and it will be round melbourne cup. My friend goes, why, is melb cup a special day and important to you and your hubby.

I said, no thats when I o (and I said o, not ovulate).

She went what????

I said, O, you know ovulate.

She said "what you know when you ovulate?

I said, "yeah"

She just looked at me real funny....probably went into too much detail now me thinks!:o

So as its first month of trying, bd from end of AF. I am a healthy person, exercise reguarly. Cut back on caffeine and salt in hope of a girl.......

Good luck all, hope what you are doing makes the big difference!
