Hi everyone am interested to hear if any medication/creams you were advised to use on a plastic bell circumcision (for afterwards)? On a relatively small baby.

I don't think we used anything after the event. I think because there is no blood or open wound it doesn't stick to anything.

Yes, it's called Emla cream.... you can get it from any chemist. You put it on 2 hours prior and wrap the penis in a small piece of glad wrap, keeping it open at the top.

forgot to mention, when applying the emla cream, be very generous with it... and don't give baby too much to drink prior or his wee will wash away a bit of the cream around the tip.

We used Emla cream before the op. The doctor provided this for us during the initial consult, along with some painstop, so we didn't have to get any ourselves. The combination worked very well for the local injection.
