Parramatta BBQ for all!

Hi everyone,

Thought i'd get moving on organising a meet in November some time. What does everyone think about a family friendly with partners on a saturday or sunday or something? I'm thinking maybe a big BBQ at Parramatta park. What do we all think? I have put a poll to see what dates are ok with everyone. You can choose more than one thing if you want. Im thinking everyone brings a plate of something. Should be lots of fun! Thought it'd be good to get out of the city for a change. There is plenty of parking at Parra park too and it isnt that far from the station for those who would be busing or training it. i think having partners would be good and is a request from my DH as he gets so cranky I get to go out and meet new people with babies and kids when he has to work!

Nov is really busy for me but will come along if I can ... so far the 11th, 12th and 19th are out ....

Just wanted to reply .... and I'm all for a meet up out of the city .....

I voted, the 4th is out for us as its DH's bday.

But any other time should be fine, i know DH is working the 5th, 11th,12th and 18th, so probably any date apart from that (or just me and the kids will come!! ;) )

Not sure how Im going to get there as I don't drive and it would be really expensive in a taxi there and back so I might have to give this one a miss guys.:thumbsdown:

We will put our hand up for it. Mum can drop us off and go visit my nan in baulkham hills while we have fun. The later november date is good cause my dad goes away that weekend for his boys thingy so means the car isnt in use. .

How silly am i! Just realised I can't do the 11th as I have a wedding! Do we think a saturday or a sunday would be better?

I have been offline for a few days and just notice this thread. I think it sounds like a wonderful idea, so far the weekend that is definetly out is the 4th (sis bridal shower) other dates not sure. What is para park like? Is there a web site on it??

i think there is a site for it but im not sure of it. Parra park is really big lots of trees plenty of shade and bbq areas. There are a few kids playgrounds around as well.

So what dates have we setled on?

Later in the month would be better, and a saturday... I go to church on Sunday, and don't like to make my days too full! Okay, I can't physically cope with full days and sleep deprivation, lol!
