I thought I'd start a thread for us May Mummy's to share our ultrasound pics as it's coming up to the time when we're all having them done.
I had another scan today as it was the first appointment with the OB, I had a vaginal scan done which was so much better than the "tummy" one and I just had to share this pic as the OB said he couldn't believe how long our baby's legs were! (I'm 6'2" and DH is 6'4" so it's not a huge surprise!)

Halesdm, they're great scans, I could have watched my bub all day on that screen.
Good luck for January Candice_bree!

Well we went for our scan yesterday afternoon. Cheated and only drank 500ml of water - much more comfy!! Bub was lovely and behaved - in a fashion! Saw a nice heartbeat of 161bpm and good news is my cervix is 43mm long and closed - which is good news for the cerclage procedure to be done next Tuesday. I have updated my avatar to show TAKA2's (our baby's nickname) little profile. The scan and blood test showed that we have a 1 in 4261 chance of Downs which is a really reassuring number for my age profile. Hope everyone is doing well and taking it easy.

Hi Guys,
I too had my scan finally yesterday. i can work the live video bit but cant seem to open the photos. hmmm. the video bit goes for about half an hour, the whole time we were in there watching which is cool. i was a little dissapointed that she didn't leave the machines still long enough to see the baby move much. she kept wizzing it round to different angles then freezing. but we did see it stretching its fingers and a couple of other little things like that.
i had to prod my belly and jump around also to get it to move into different possies so she could see better.
so far perfectly healthy baby 1 in 2500 chance of downs. i love the post about working in one of these places and getting on the machine each day! you so would. i cant believe have to wait another 6 weeks to see him/her again.
my DH was quite impressed and i think it made a big impact on him, although he hasn't said a lot except he couldn't take his eyes off it and that he feels real protective and worried already about anything bad happening in its life!
its so great to watch everyones progress on here. And glad we have all healthy babies.:hugs:

Janie - nothing like seeing that bub on the screen for it to become real for the Daddy. Wait until the baby starts kicking hard enough for him to feel. I use to lie really close to DH in bed with my belly against his back. Harriet used to go ballistic and kick wildly. Tony thought that this was wonderful - poor daddies really do miss out on a lot of this nice stuff don't they?

I had my NT scan done yesterday.. bub was bouncing around so much that the lady who did the ultrasound got very frustrated with it. Bub also kept waving its arms about, bobbing its head like it was listening to music, and randomly flipping over while measurements were being taken. :D

Risk for Downs is 1 in 19312 and risk for trisomy 18/13 is 1 in 34566, so obviously very happy with that. :yelclap:

Here's my pics from the scan today. I am on such a high!! Everyone at work is asking if it's a boy or a girl, but we don't want anyone else to know ('cept you ladies of course!) so I am having to pretend I don't know.
Here's my baby girl...
