Ok Queensland Bubhubbers...I need your help...
There is a place we are considering staying at in Brisbane actually in Fortitude Valley...
Is this area ok?
We will be only sleeping at the hotel mainly as we will be travelling around during the day sightseeing...
What do you think..Please help me..I have never been to Brisbane but we want someone rather reasonably priced to stay.
TIA

Through the day is ok. But when it hits about 5pm the traffic is terrible if you get a hire car because with where it is parked and how sercure it is.
Can i ask what drew you to stay the valley:detective:

It's better than it used to be. Very central, just depends on the quality of the place you are staying in and the security measures they have
Hey Mum2james
where abouts are you staying? I used to work in the Valley ~ no, not as a hooker ~ so it all depends where the Hotel is. But even then it's not too bad, just make sure you stay clear of the upper part of brusnswick street (not the mall / new farm end, the other side coming fgrom the hospital) and you should be fine.
There are alot of drunks in that area, and it can be a bit scary at nights. But as i said, it's not as bad as it sounds. there are heaps of nice cafe's and pubs in the mall, so even an outing there during the day or for dinner should be fine.
let me know where you stay and I can give you some tips around the valley if you need,
B

OMG....girls...Im scared now....hehehe
Only reason I have looked there is the accomodation is cheap...Well cheaper than other places and the hotel looks rather nice...Most places in Brisbane are booked or wayyyyy to expensive...
Its called the Snooze Inn

Thanks for all your help:hugs:

I used to live in the Valley (Not far from Brunswick Street) and I never had a problem. You just need to make sure the hotel has car park facilities, as some do not offer this.
If you're worried about the Valley, why not try Springhill. Leichhardt Street has heaps of hotels that have covered carparking, and its a 15 minute stroll to the City!
