Provided the sashimi is fresh and no bacteria etc I think it's safe. Depends on whether u wanna take the risk..

Seaweed and vegetarian sushi or cooked meat sushi are totally safe

both my kids ate sashimi from a young age, maybe 8 or 9 months old. id make sure it was reputable though, i wouldnt be giving them sashimi from the food court for example

If you would eat it there is absolutely no reason why your child cannot eat it. The only food that is a worry for little ones is honey and that is because of botulism, not allergies.

I also think it is fine. Of course you havent followed the fish from the moment it died but if its your local, busy shop and you haven't interrupted the cool chain then there really shouldnt be any concern. I am the same in pregnancy. I eat where I trust them, where I know they are completely sold out by 4 and can see where my food is prepared (in regards to take away). I wouldnt eat somewhere I havent eaten before lol and always worked well :)
