Hi everyone. Has anyone used an ovulation test kit and didn't conceived? I used one for the first time last month but didn't conceived.
I did it the day before i got a positive result and also did it on the day of the positive result. Has anyone else used them and how many did you use before you conceived?
unfortunately there are SOOOOOOOOO many factors involved with conceiving that actually catching Ovulation is just one of them!
Things like the CM or vaginal environment being hostile to sperm and/or not allowing them to freely travel into the cervix.. the sperm that fertilises the egg (if it does) or the egg itself could not be perfect, the egg may not implant... there are so many other things.. Maybe someone knows a good link and can post here.
Dont give up, keep trying. I have not used OPKs yet as i have been on monitored cycles with drugs to make me ovulate (so i know exactly when I am) but this cycle and the next I am not getting my cycle monitored so i am going to use OPKs for the 1st time myself.
I bought an ovulation test kit but it wasn't much use to me.
I used one test- which was neg, then we went away for a few days so ttc anyway as worked out ovulation was about then.
I used the preg test that came with it a few weeks later and had a :bfp:
But best of luck to you! :fingerscrossed:
Hi i have just used my second month of opk's.
As nicoleE said, there are a number of reasons for not conceieving.
The first time i think i missed the surge but one thing it has confirmed me, is that i do O on cycle day 13. So i guess it's good to know your body and to make sure you are Oing.
Hi,
it took me 5 months of using them to get pregnant with my son. Best of luck.
