We've got a wonderful group of bubhubbers who have been working on their special areas of interest or local region to bring even more to the bubhub community.
After discussion, we've renamed them from Ambassador to Advocates. From here-on, they are the
Bubhub Forum Advocates
(By dictionary definition, an advocate is a supporter, someone who speaks in favour of ..)
Definition of Role
The role of an Advocate is to represent the bubhub members who are interested in that subject matter or geographical area by:
driving discussions
being a go-between with the BH Admin team and the members of that section of the forum, letting the bh admin team know if there are new sections, features that the members need or new services that we should be promoting
arranging meet-ups – locally or online (if requested by members)
Choosing Advocates
The Advocates role is a volunteer role. It’s a labour of love, so a member needs to be passionate about making a difference and taking the role on.
Members are able to put themselves forward
Members can also nominate somebody, who we then email to see if they are interested in taking the role on
Offers to be an advocate or nominations to propose somebody else to be an advocate should be emailed to info @ bubhub.com.au (it will be the admin team who make decisions regarding advocates, not the forum mod team). The BH admin team will then review the request and appoint new advocates.
Minimum requirements to be an Advocate (from now on):
Min post count: 300
Infractions: 2 points or less
Can only be an advocate for one interest area or local area
Not more than 2 advocates for an area
Stepping down from the advocate role
An advocate can be removed from the role ...
On a voluntary, step-down basis
Receive more than 2 infraction points
Concerns are received by the bh admin team, who then make a decision – concerns must be made directly to info @ bubhub.au AND NOT IN THE OPEN FORUM
