I always feel mean giving DD plain old sarnies, fruit and veges for her lunchbox in the winter, I'd love to give her something that is going to warm her up on those freezing cold winter mornings....
But how to keep it warm? Is there anything you can buy that fits into a lunchbox to keep food warm, like a freezer block but the opposite..?:p

DD hates cold pasta,pizza,leftovers etc..

What do you give your kids in their lunchboxes in winter? Do you give them warm drinks in a flask too or is it just water still?

You can get little thermos containers for lunch boxes, but they would only be suitable for "wet" food like soup, pasta, leftovers, etc.

You can get microwaveable bowls for keeping food warm, but they only keep it warm for 4-5 hours.. So might not be that warm by the time it's lunch.

I have seen hot packs, like for when you sprain your ankle, where you just press a button in the middle and it heats up. I may be completely wrong and they are cold packs though!!! Also not sure if they are reusable either

This is what my sister bought for my niece, keeps food warm, so far she has sent her to school with spaghetti, meatballs, chicken strips, fried rice and soup - all stayed warm!
