My 2 week old Dd has blocked, runny nose and was unsettled all nyt she feeds for only a few minutes at a time and I'm really concerned this sniffly nose will develop into somthing more my 3 yr old DS is at child care 4 days a week and he has a chesty cough for the past week (it has hardly bothered him sleeps well eats well no temps) I'm just really worried about my DD I had my pertussis booster a week ago I'm just really freaked out I guess it's coz I've had no sleep

Use a nasal aspirator to help clear the gunk from her nose. She's probably only feeding a little because it is blocked and she can't feed and breathe at the same time. Some people put some breastmilk up the nose (never tried it myself) and it apparently works.

Also, apparently babies sound worse than they actually are when sick (according to my doc) after taking my DD in with a chesty cough (she was fine).

Just keep an eye on her and if you are concerned take her to the doc to check her out. :)

Thanku she is defiantely more settled now she is sleeping and only havin little feeds I took her to the docs and she isant too concerned! Hopefully I just over reacted
