View Full Version : Very Faint line and period??? Lunar cycle
Hi there,
I thought I would do a hpt this morning as my period was a day late....it came up very very faint (within the 10 minutes it said). Funny thing is my period cramps and aches came on the next hour after that (on the day they're due after all)....it's all a bit sus to me as I had no cramping yesterday which I normall do. I guess I am just wishing, although some people do have a period during pregnancy.
Anyway, has anyone ever tried using the lunar cycles to ttc?
Good luck everyone.

I still had a few aches and pains, like period pains, around the time I was due and was convinced that any minute AF would show up despite the :bfp:
:fingerscrossed: that it's BFP for you :)

Thanks girls for your well wishes, but darn I have my AF with a vengance today.....such a pitty, I really thought it could be it this time. I will however try another test at end of week cos you never know some people do have AF when pregnant (yeah yeah dream on I know).
Again....has anyone heard or practised the lunar cycle fertlity times? It's to do with the moon at the time of your birth and they say it is a one off ovulation apart from your normal one during the month....could be worth a try he,he.
Thanks again, I will keep in touch and continue reading your wonderful posts and wishing you all BFP's. xoxoxoxoxox

Hi there,
I got pregnant with my first really easily and was expecting to with number #2 as well. However we started trying to conceive when my son was around 6 months old and though I still didn't have too much trouble (am now 13 weeks and my son is 10 1/2 months) I did look into my lunar cycle. The reason I did this was because my periods were really irregular still. I wasn't able to breastfeed at all, but I guess since it wasn't that long since my first bub hormones were still out of whack.
All I did was work out my "lunar fertile time" which is basically the time when you are most fertile - not neccesarily when you are supposed to be ovulating because it is linked to the phase of the moon when you are born. For me my most fertile time is when there is a full moon, and at the time I was trying to conceive the full moon was occurring around the time of my period. You can work out your lunar fertile time at this website; http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/vphase.html
It basically allows you to enter the date and year of your birth and tells you what type of moon there was that night.
Knowing your lunar fertile time can help stimulate ovulation. All I did was go outside every night and look at the moon for a few minutes. I think it did help my cycle get back to normal because I got pregnant after doing this for a week or so. It can't hurt anyway. Below are a couple more websites. You can get calendars and stuff too to track your lunar cycle. Hope this helps.:smiliedance:

Thanks for the info tammac....I got pregnant easily twice (miscarriages) and again with my bubby (he's almost 12 months now) and now I am ttc #2, not sure how easy it will be. To tell the truth I am scared of another miscarriage, but excited at the same time.
Anyway, I might just follow the lunar cycle and give it a try too :)
Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope it all goes well for you and not too much morning sickness.
Bye, Ange.
