Hi All,
Our little guy, Tanner, is just about to turn 2 in January, 05. Since around June this year, he has been sleeping on the lounge floor on a fold out couch (a Winnie the Pooh one with the sleeping bag attached!), because he had outgrown his cot and we hadn't yet looked into buying a bed for him. Since June, his sleeping has been great throughout the night - going off to bed around 8pm, with his bottle and listening to the television, waking around 6.30am. Now that he is getting a little older, and of course almost outgrowing the couch aswell, we have purchased a new bed, and his bedroom is downstairs (ours is upstairs). How have other families attempted the move from the cot or couch in our case, to the bed? I don't want to scare him and have that memory lingering when we continue to try the move, and I must admit I am a real softie when it comes to screaming and continual crying, as Tanner has had times when he sobs that hard and gets that upset that he vomits. I want to make this as pain free for both Tanner and us. I understand that persistence is the key, I just don't want to upset the great sleeping pattern that he has and go back to square one. Any input from anyone would be great.
