Hi everyone,

Dont know if this is the right place to start this thread but since we'd be talking about places in sydney's west i thought it would be.

Just wondering how everyone sticks to their budget if on one and where you go to save money? DH and I shop at woolies but only mostly buy home brand pasta, flour, sugar and all the basics

I buy all of our meat at the chicken factory shops in Toongabbie and at the meat market in pendle hill. We buy in bulk and seperate when we get home. I then pre-cook and freeze because it is soooo much easier to defrost and cook than cook from scratch-we find if its not ready we're more inclined to get take out and things. We also buy all of our fruit and veg at fruit and veg shops because it is soo much cheaper. Any one else know other secret cheap places?

My shopping for groc is done once a fortnight, i have a set amount to spend, and then i have my lsit of what we need. I first go to Aldi, then Peter's meats at Campbelltown Mall, then the fruit and Veg shop at Campbelltown Mall and lastly if there's anything i couldnt find (which is rare) i go to woolworths.

I find that this really helps me stick to me budget!! ;)
