I had SPD from about 14 weeks with my second. By the time I had him, I was in a large amount of pain, could hardly walk or sleep. I was told by everyone there was nothing that could help me anymore till after I had bub. :(

I had him 19 days ago, at first my pelvis and back felt a lot better as there was no longer 5+kg sitting on it! But it's still not actually any better, I still can't walk very well, it still clicks grinds and pops. I still can't wear my support belt because it makes it worse (my pelvis became uneven during pregnancy)
How long until it starts to return to normal? Or till the ligaments starts to strengthen? I'm waiting to see the physio again.

Almost instantly for me.

I would definitely see the physio, I still feel pain when working out or if I've walked a few kms, but generally it's much better.

You've possibly had some more permanent damage happen to the area as a result of it being so loose. :(

Intantly for me as well. As soon as the baby was born (all 3) the SPD went away, thank goodness.

As BlissedOut suggested, definitely see your Physio sooner rather than later about it, as although I still had some issues with some exercises and pushing with my legs, it was nothing to what you're still experiencing, albeit early days.

I hope you find some reprieve soon, it's not fair that you're still suffering and have a newborn to care for. :hugs:

Instantly for me too. Just having the weight of bubby out helped immensly.

I also had spd and I'm 11 days post partum my pubic bone is still sore clicky hips etc I'm awaiting to see physio but in the meantime I am still resting as much as I can and practising pelvic floor exercises and drawing my tummy in!
It is improving but slowly
I had natural vaginal delivery!

At my 6 wk check up it was still bothering me (but no debilitating) but by 12 weeks it was all but gone, 8 months postpartum and every once in a while it pops or clicks but nothing major

Thanks for the replies. I might try See someone this week. I had A minor case of it with DD but it was better just after I had her. I thought that it would be the same this time but nope :(

It makes things hard. Like if bub falls asleep on me it's so hard to try and get off the couch/ out of my chair to put him down. I need to use both my arms to stabilize myself. I still can't do a heap of the house work (mopping, vacuuming, sweeping and picking up toys) it causes me a heap of pain.
