Hi Ya Ladies,
Well I am almost 35 wks preg ( not long to go now)
I have a very small & compacy belly, I only measure 29 cm!!
This has been a prob for me and my MW.
I see lots of other women posting pics of their bellies, yet mine is so tiny, I look in the mirror everyday after a shower & wonder how a healthy baby can fit in there!!!
So I am having a scan on Mon to check measurement & placenta etc. I am so worried I am going to get told something is wrong!! I look about 25 wks, now way do I look like I am due in only 5 wks time.
Anyone else have the same prob? Any other paranoid mums to be with tiny bellies?

Hey Louise,
Every woman is different and its good that you are getting it checked from a medical viewpoint, but try not to worry to much as I am 35 weeks also and half the size of what I was during my first pg. Even my Mum has commented to say that I'm not as big and she is a midwife. I hope that everything is ok from the medical side and that you enjoy this brilliant little person you are about to bring into the world!

Try not to worry - I had exactly the same thing and had an 'emergency u/s' to make sure all was ok. According to the sonographer she does ALOT of these scans as women often measure too small or large for no reason. Anyway, my scan result showed a perfectly sized baby with a healthy placenta and plenty of fluid. I gave birth a month later to a 7lb baby girl. As I said, apparently its really common and I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and measuring small again!
A few of us on this forum went through the same thing around the same time and everything was perfect for all of us.
Good luck - I am sure all is fine :)

Ladies,
thanks for the advice. Its just bothers me alot. I hope all is ok with her. I had a baby shower yesterday, & receving more baby gifts made me feel a little down cuz I cant help think something is wrong.
I will post an update when I get the results.
Clairet - What is a sonographer? never heard that term b4. Should I have
Tiggerbaby - They usually say you carry bigger in the 2nd preg. How weird huh? ;)
Thanks Ladies

Hey hun! I to have been through a similar thing with this preg, I am 36 weeks and only the last few weeks have really started to get bigger. I had and still do get alot of comments off people saying how small I am, Bub however measures spot on so I know all is good.
Your U/S sounds like the best way to put your mind at ease, you will get to see that all is fine. I know its hard not to worry tho so I do feel for you! But once you have your U/S im sure you will see all is good and you will be able to relax and enjoy these last few weeks of your pregnancy!!
I was really sick with my first pregnancy for the whole 9 months and the doctors told me not to expect a baby over 5 6 pounds tops, I had a perfectly healthy lil boy who weighed in at 8 pound 7 ounces!! I have no idea how he turned out so big and healthy considering I did nothing but vomit for 9 months, but i guarentee you these lil bubbys are so much stronger then we give them credit for!!
Hang in there hun and I cant wait to hear how your U/S goes.
Oh By the way, A sonographer is the name of the person who performs your U/S ;)

Hun bubs can do ALOT of growing in the last month of pregnancy so don't worry. I had small tum too it was really tight and compact, I wore my normal clothes all the way through my pregnancy.
When I went for my 18week scan they thought I was there for my confirmation of dates scan (6week scan) and when I went for my 39 weeks bloods/check up they thought I was there for a 20 week check!! My bubs weighed 6lb 15oz and he was only 3days early so your little girl could still put on a pound or so yet, only time will tell!!
Good luck for the birth and labour!!:fingerscrossed:
