Hi ladies
Just like to briefly introduce myself as I think I've finally found a forum I may fit into. I am 41 and have been married 19 years and have a DS who will be 3 in January and a DD born in April 2005. I work casually and live in country SA. My kids were conceived via IVF - took 9 attempts to have DS and just one to have DD. Hope to see you all around.

Hi Sharlee,

I think you have amazing strength to have kept on persevering with IVF for so long. It just goes to show what determination can bring.
Good to hear from you.

Hi ladies and thanks for your welcome.

I just read this forum is for ladies 40+ expecting their first baby...does that mean I'm too young?

Hi Sharlee - coool - an older mums thread
I am 35 (also closer to 36 o's mum) and have two gorgeous boys (sorry make that three - I forgot DH). Anyway, we took 5yrs to fall pg with DS1, we had two IVF attempts then saw a fertility naturopath whilst I was having hypnotherapy and we fell pg naturally! Needless to say DS2 came along quite unexpectedly (and closer than we had planned), but we were glad not to have to go through another five years of hell !
Although we would have liked to have had our kids younger, we looked at the positive - we had more time for us and our relationship to strengthen (we celebrated 10yrs married this year & it still feels like yesterday!) and we were able to put a dent in our mortgage AND our boys were definately worth the wait - we tell them this all the time! :D
