I hope this is in the right section.:o
DH has to plan his work Christmas party soon - and we have discussed the possibility of having a lunch/dinner with his reps bringing not only their spouses, but also their kids along.
I can't for the life of me think of a venue apart from McDonalds  or one of the bigger pubs (eg. Springwood Hotel) that has a play area - something suitable for our Miss Nearly Two and the other kids who range from 6 to 10 years of age.
Do they exist?
Can any of the lovely Brissie mums help me?

we don't really have a kids area but your hubby is welcome to book our function room. the restaurant has great food at really cheap prices.

i have no idea what this place is like, but one day i was driving past the pineapple hotel, near the gabba, and i saw it had a playground there. great idea. but like i said, have no idea what type of place it is and if it has a function room.

the pineapple hotel is really nice but not very cheap. if you are looking for somewhere that is cheaper try a bowls club. at hubby's last xmas party they went lawn bowling and it is so much fun. the kids would enjoy it too.

Hi Girls,
Location isn't a problem - we live on the southside, and DH's reps have to travel down from Northlakes and up from Robina - so anywhere is fine (although naturally closer to us would be wonderful!). Basically wherever there is a good venue!
Cost is not an issue either - the company pays for it all including taxi fares - now if only the Stamford had a kid's play area....
I might check out The Pineapple Hotel - I haven't been there before - is the food good? I will see if they have a website.
Please keep your suggestions coming!

Umm you are not allowed to tell anyone, but DP, the dude and I went to dinner at a Sizzler the other night:eek: .
We went really early because the dude goes to bed at 6.30, and I thought we would be the only ones there.
Wrong. Every single 30 something and their offspring were there. That sounds awful, but the atmosphere was great, kids everywhere, babies in high chairs, and the kids have the best time because of the novelty of the buffet.
The food was okay, I think if you order off the menu you can get a decent steak and stuff, we just had the salad bar and that was fine.
Anyway, it gets my vote, we are going back... without actually admitting in .
