Whilst sleeping- well lying in bed TRYING to sleep- my foot gets sore to the point where full weight bearing on it the following morning is difficult. The pain is located on the sole near the arch. My feet/ ankles do swell up during the day but nothing too bad I don't think. My initial thought was that it was just another localised swelling but this is happening overnight and only once I'm off my feet, it subsided once I'd been moving around a bit yesterday and started up again during the night- I notice it during my frequent overnight toilet visits  .
Do you think I should be concerned- phone obst or wait until Wed when I see him for my regular appointment.
I'm at 37 1/2 weeks,( 18 days to go :) ) first preg and have had no issues or problems so far....BP has been ok so far too
Thanks for any advice

Can I ask, does it feel kind of like the arch has temporarily shrunk and to put your foot flat stretches it and that hurts??? Does that make sense?? The reason I ask is that I occasionally experience this myself and I think it is just a tendon (or something!) spasming (sp?). I didn't speceifically experience it when I was pregnant, but I guess with all the extra weight on your feet it could trigger something like that. Not sure if this helpds just thought I'd let you know what I have experienced.

that's actually a pretty fair description of what it feels like, I suppose it could just be happening regardless of being preg- but you know its always easier or expected to assume that its because I'm pregnant. Maybe I'll just wait out and ask him about it next time I see him.

I have something similar, though it's more annoying than painful. And I do get it when I'm pregnant - though I'm still getting it now when I'm not. It's in the same part of my foot as yours, but I have to get my husband to rub it, quite firmly and it eventually goes away.
And yeah it tends to happen at the end of the day when I'm sitting down after tea or in bed.
I also find putting my feet in cool - cold water helps sometimes as well.
