Im curious to know is it possible to over feed a baby. DS is 1 next week, and lately he has been eating anything and everything like a bottomless pit. 99% of his food is healhty, veg, salad, fruit, rice cakes, cereal, meat etc...
At the moment, i offer him foods until he starts playing with it or refuses... Should i be only giving him X amount? Or is it fine for him to decide when he has had enough.

He'll only eat as much as he wants, chances are he's having a growth spurt.

Thanks for that, thats what i did think, but wasnt sure. He seems like a bottomless pit - STILL! He ate a whole piece of toast and 3/4 of a vita britt for breakky alone today!
The last time i seen the CHN at 8mnths, it was a fill-in as ours was away...and she gave me a lecture about how "overweight" babies are overweight adults, and that he shouldnt weigh as much as he does, and i needed to sort out his weight issues otherwise im basically sending him to an early grave.
He's sitting about 75th % for weight, and has followed it steady since birth so i figure he's fine. He was born at 9lbs or 4kgs so not a small baby by any means to begin with.
He clenches his mouth or puts his hands up infront of it if im spoon feeding him something, and if its finger food he'll play with it, so i did figure he was just eating what he wanted...
