I have started Gonal f today. First injection and much easier than I thought. I am not doing IVF yet, we are waiting to see how this works out. Has anyone else used Gonal f and how did you go?

Hi Lily
I am set to start my gonal injections on Wednesday (will be day 4 for me), I am 37.5iu
I am doing donor IUI this cycle.
I have used higher doses of gonal f for IVF and gotten hardly any side effects apart from a bit of bloating which would have just been from all the follies I was growing! :)
My FS was going to put me on clomid but I asked for the gonal as I get HORRIBLE side effects from the clomid. I also sometimes don't even produce a follicle on the clomid where as on the gonal I always have.
I've read that gonal f can produce better quality follies too
Are you doing IUI?
Wishing you all the best!!! :babydust1:

Hi girls,

Come join us in the Injections Support Thread - loads of us jabbing away in there and heaps of support. Look under the section 'conception issues and TTC' and then sub-section 'fertility treatment'

I have just had my first appointment with a fertility specialist and am about to start ovulation induction. She has skipped clomid & is putting me straight onto gonalf-f, which consists of giving myself a lot of needles. I am very hessatant about this 1 because I don't know how I'll go jabbing myself everyday & the risk of multiples. Had anyone else been put on gonal-f, it's also used for IUI.? I would love some feedback, I have about 2 weeks before I start asi need to get AF 1st, so I have been put on the pill for 21 days, feels like I keep going backwards in the whole process.
