we had great success with Dr Jay Gordons technique. http://drjaygordon.com/attachment/sleeppattern.html
now dd has taken to waking and will full on tantrum until she is fed back to sleep.
any suggestions?
(started the day at 4am, since boob is 'for the morning' )
Subscribing, as I'm slowly trying this, but am getting massive tanties as well...

Sorry, no suggestions either - subscribing as I can see these tantrums happening in my near future when I attempt to night wean too!
I night weaned my bed-sharing son at 2 (he was feeding once overnight at that stage).
I would send her to a spare room with your partner until she stops demanding boob. He can carry her around, pat her etc. That is what we did, and he slept through after a couple of nights.
Any tips for a solo mum?? ;) :freakingout:

I did the Jay Gordon thing & also started offering Jasper water in a bottle so I'd know he couldn't be thirsty - if he happens to wake after 3-4am he'll chug a fair amount so I'm happy to get up & get it for him knowing he is thirsty. I'll usually have a big drink at that time too if I'm getting up for jasper because I am too.
I did be a little tough with jasper and did let him cry a fair bit - in my arms with my telling him I love him and I'm here and he's safe and I'm sorry he's upset. It was a tough couple of weeks really. He took to it well the first week but then the third week really pushed against it again I think realizing what was going on. Then he had back molars come through and was screaming in pain all night so I wound up introducing a bottle for comfort because I couldn't breast feed & it took like a month to drop the bottle!!!!
