Hi everyone, just wanting some advice from experienced testers. I am 11dpo, did a test this morning and got a very very faint line, barely visible but definitely there (within about 3 minutes).
Is there such a thing as faulty tests? It is too early yet for me to get any hopes up, I keep thinking something must be wrong.
I was going to test again tomorrow morning and see what happened.

How exciting a second line.... id say congrats is in order. A line is a line and as long as you have done it per instructions, it's all good!

I have bought cheap tests & expensive tests, I have only had positives when I have been pregnant, so Id say you definately are!!!! Especially with the second line coming up so fast.

I had a very faint positive line 2 weeks ago at about the same dpo. I had a blood test when af would have been due but it was negative. Every test since has been negative too. Before this, i had only got a positive when i was pregnant

Do you think I should test again with another brand today, or should I wait until tomorrow morning? It was a First Response test.

well i tested on 11dpo and got a light line i tested yesterday and i was 12dpo and the line got a little darker and then i tested again today and got a darker line then yesterdays so congrads on the BFP

I used that too for my faint line, every after has been neg. I tested yesterday too, (5 days past AF would have been due {bf so no regular af}) an another neg. I hope you get a BFN - i woul wait 2 days before testing again as the hormone increases every 2 days...

I have only ever had a faint positive once on a confirm test - only to get my af soon after. But I am pretty sure it might have been a chemical preg. I really hope you see a dark line soon - :fingerscrossed: for your BFP.

oh Goodluck Jo9999!:fingerscrossed: I really hope u find out soon that u r indeed pregnant! I would be testing daily wif all different brands! I heard Confirm is good at detecting early? Tell us all how it goes when u test again!

ive actually read that most tests have a very faint line on them already....and ive seen a few that have faint lines on them they are greyish...

i recently had faint lines but got AF a few days later...:( so if they are getting darker your in with a pretty good chance...

I'm with PiercedDoll on this one. If its getting darker then you in with a big chance that its a BFP! I have had faint lines a few times on different brands (very faint but definatly there) and got AF a few days later . I so hope for you that the line gets darker and that my feedback doesnt bring you down.:fingerscrossed:

I think a line can only come up when HCG is detected. But the problem with testing so early as you may be in for a dissapointment given that something like 2/3 of early (very early) pregnancies miscarry.. it is usually before we are even aware of it. for your sake, I hope it is a BFP though, I had a very faint line this pregnancy and it just got darker and darker:thumbsup:

I tested one day before I was 4 weeks pregnant and got a very faint line. Went to the doctors that same day and I was pregnant (confirmed with urine and blood tests). A line is a line as they say, when you follow the instructions. Perhaps tests again tommorrow morning using your first morning urine and see if it happens again. If another line comes up, go to the doctor and have your pregnancy confirmed.

I would say you are in with a good chance. Congratulations :yelclap: .

Hi everyone, thanks for your responses, just thought I'd share that this morning I had a definite line! :smiliedance:
On the 10th month of trying, when I had given up on OPKs (never got a clear positive), charts that looked like I weren't ovulating, and had just had the start of fertility tests done... I pinpointed O day soley with CM this month :yelclap:

I got a faint line yesterday on a brand that I've used before and never ever had a evap line from - the only time I've gotten a line is now - so I am sure the only way to get a line, any line is to have hcg in your urine...
