okay this may be a real odd Q but i need to ask...
i just got a Donna saliva fertility tester ( like a maybe baby) so i been useing it on and off all week it says to use saliva but not to drink,eat,smoke befor useing them, well i do them all so i cant get a good reading, so i was reading the info on the box it says you can test ur CM on it to see if your o'ing ANYWAYS i tryed it and i got part ferning now this Q is gonna be TIM, but cos im useing CM to test could that have picked hubbys little boys as we bd'ed the 11th and 12th and i got the part fern yesturday...:confused:

btw FF said i just o'ed on the 10th we bd'ed 11th&12th and i still got the part ferning..whats up with that?

Dont know if this is gonna help really but I queried the same thing on an Ovulation test and it said that even if you bd the night before if wont affect your O test.

I assume it would be the same with maybe baby or fertility test although hang on.... you said that you used CM.

:confused: hmmmm... ignore me, i dont know now. Coz with an O test its urine.

I hope someone can give you the answer!

thanks Leanne any help is good help, another Q i have is, when ff gives you the red line saying you o'ed on what ever day...how meny days befor and after the redline are you still fertile, and how long can little boys hang around for the egg for? Thanks again

I'm pretty sure that spermies can live up to 5-7 days once us gals (ahem) "receive" them... hardy little buggers!

The "window" of fertility is usually 2-3 days before O and 2-3 days after. I use OPK's and my FS says to BD as much as you possibly can up to 5 days after a positive test (I usally ovulate 36hrs later)... leaving the other 23 days of the cycle to catch up on sleep :o

Not too sure about the timeframes for FF or saliva/cm testing though. I could never get the hang of FF with my crazy cycles and would just end up yelling at the computer...heheh.

Hi :wave: Estrogen is what causes the ferning patterns - so I don't think the lil swimmers would make any difference really. Hope you get some full ferning soon ;) Usually once you see the red o line appear on FF it is too late and you have already o. Best to bd the days leading up to o - as the spermies can live for a few days in fertile cm.
