Hi Ladies

I have just started using Maybe Baby and just wanted to get some feedback on how others have gone with it? Have been TTC#1 for 13 months and counting...... Also, any positive stories from those who took a long time to conceive would really brighten my day!

Thans heaps:wave:

Hi Pippi  I tried the maybe baby but didn't find it all that reliable - some months I had ferning everyday. I highly recommend the opk's you can get from www.lullabyconceptions.com though - I keep getting accurate + on those! I know how hard the waiting can be - we have been ttc for 10 months now and still no luck so far. We have just had every test under the sun done and been given the all clear. Here's hoping for those BFP's soon. Good luck I hope the maybe baby works for you :)

Good Morning all - having difficulties starting a new thread, but then found this one from last week!! Perfect!!!

I have been using the Maybe Baby OPK for three months and it's been great ie pebbles and then an obvious ferning pattern when I am Oing.

I am on CD12 of a 35 day cycle, and I usually O on CD18 - which is still 6 days away. However, I got a partial ferning pattern on the Maybe Baby yesterday morning - so DH and I BDed, but then I was back to pebbles this morning

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this??

DH and I will continue to BD just in case I am Oing, and I am also going away on Wednesday for a week (without DH) so I want to try and catch the eggie!!

Hi there girls,

I have been using since AF and all was goin well and now I have discovered that I O on CD8 and my cycle is 36D!! Is that normal? How weird am I? I have been doing it at the wrong time of month for sooo long!
I have found that it only works(maybe baby) just before lunch when I havn't eaten for a few hrs, maybe thats why you are getting PF then pebbles. What time of day are you testing?

I am testing first thing in the morning - as soon as I have woken up. Am still half asleep!!!

But I will test again when I get home from work tonight (will make sure I haven't eaten in the 3 hours prior) and see what shows.

It's just a bit strange that I would be Oing so soon. AF only finished mid last week!!!

Maybe eggie knows I am going away on Wednesday and is being nice to me and has come early :D

I will let you know what happens with the test.

Pippi & Mum2Bailey - Keep me posted with yours too.

   Thats how I felt! When I had PF 2 days running I was like OMG my AF finished 4 days ago! I had no idea that I was Oing so early in the cycle cause I wasn't getting any physical symptoms. Then on friday I had the full on ferning and it was into the bedroom for us!!! Hope we caught an eggie! How long do you rekon I need to wait before testing? Not sure if I should wait my full 36 days or just do a TTW, what do you think?

Also I found first morning spit was useless, too dry or something?:detective:

In that case, maybe my O is a lot earlier in my cycle than I thought!!

The "norm" is to O on or around day 14, but because of my longer cycle I usually O around CD 18. So confusing!!

I'm no expert, but I reckon you should test after the TWW - if you are pg, then the pg hormone should have kicked in by then. And waiting for CD 36 is waaaay to far away - I wouldn't be able to wait that long ;)

I hope I am Oing, because that would means that DH and I have a better chance at catching the eggie before I go on Wed :fingerscrossed:

Pippi & Mum2Bailey - just to let you know that I tested with Maybe Baby last night and again this morning and I am only getting pebbles.

So not sure what was going on with the PF on Sunday morning.:detective:

Anyway, still BDing daily as I leave tomorrow for a week and am trying to give eggie the best chance possible.

Mum2Bailey - did you end up with pebbles or ferning??

Hey girls,

Prudie I would definatly say that u havn't Oed yet if you are getting pebbles. Did you find later in the day was easier to read the results? What CD are you on now?
Mum2bailey how did you go?

Prudie

I'm now on CD 13 so am getting close to when I would normally O (CD 18).

I don't think I have Oed either, I have had no other symptoms (ie EWCM) so I must have just been having a random day!!

How is the TWW going?? Have my :fingerscrossed: for you

TWW isn't going to badly. I'm just trying not to think about it (impossible) this but i rekon next week will be harder cause im up for testing on 27th. Keep at it with the maybe baby hopfully the big O is on its way!!!

I took this info from the'Maybe Baby' website (http://maybebaby.com.au/_frequently_asked_questions.php#17):

17. Will breast-feeding affect my results?

Yes, if you are breast-feeding your results could be inaccurate. This is due to hormonal changes in your body.

I am currently using 'Maybe Baby' together with taking my temperature in the morning. I have found using the two together a better indication of when I'm Oing. I've only been doing this for a couple of months but today I'm on day CD18 and got full ferning this morning. My boobs feel a bit sore but that could just be lead up to period.

Good luck!:)

Thanks Incy Wincy, Yay for ferns:smiliedance:

MumtoBailey- Maybe check with docotr or something about BF twice a day and using the Maybe baby. I know that BF is natures contreceptive, I wonder if that is affecting your O?
I'm now 5DPO and getting pebbles so I think Ive got the hole thing working. Up for testing 27th so 9 days to go!!!!
