I'm looking for ideas for a business name... the business is proof reading and editing, most likely for students, websites, small publications etc.

Any ideas would be most appreciated :)

Will think about it, lambjam. I'm a trained editor/proofreader myself, and although there's less work there's more call for it nowadays, as some people have terrible grammar and spelling

I want to suggest 'Proof is in the Pudding' but it's a bit long!

My initial thought was 'proof it' (which i think is awesome) but i googled it and it there is a proof reading/editing business under that name already. :(

Can I be the second? Editing / proof reading is something I've always thought would be an ideal vocation for me. I find myself correcting (in my head) bubhub posts when I read them. (No offence intended to anyone.)

You know you don't have to have your business name be about proof reading. It could be something simple as:

LAMBJAM
Proof reading Services

Something a little funky and different. Would make a cool logo as well.
