Hi girls

Me & my partner got engaged on Valentines Day & we're expecting our first baby in August. Before we fell pregnant we were talking about getting married within the 1st half of this year but I don't want to get married while pregnant, nothing against those who do but I haven't been well & my face is breaking out etc & I just don't feel like I could enjoy the day fully.

So we're now thinking about getting married on the 24th of November & bubs will be about 3 months old. I'm confident I can get everything organised & done before the baby is born so we can focus on the baby once it arrives.

It's not going to be a massive or formal wedding. Just a nice beach ceremony & a big party basically. And I figure it will be easier to watch a child that's not yet mobile & confined to a pram (or grandma's arms lol)

So I'm interested in opinions from girls who have done it or are thinking of doing it. Am I crazy?

Omg we are thinking of doing the exact same thing! Our situation is - we live in alice springs, we are over living here and want to move in jan 13 as i finish uni and will be applying for post grad positions somewhere on the east coast haha... But we love the scenery here, and think it would be really pretty to.have red rocks/bright blue skies in wedding pics... So this means we have to get married by oct/nov at absolute latest, dec is way way way too hot out here for a big dress... And we have a baby due late june/early july. My.major concern is getting back into wedding dress body mode so soon after bubs hahaha. No seriously id love to hear from others who have pulled it off :)

Our DS was 5 days shy of 3 months old when we got married.
He "walked" me down the isle :p

Our wedding was planned in 5 weeks.

We had our ceremony in a church style location & then off to a Leagues Clubs giant rooms for the reception.
Best.Night.EVER! (lol)

I got married 3 months after ds was born. Ours was our friends at the registrars office in the city then back to my house for the party. We had a blast and got everything organised in 1 month 1 day... You can do it!!!

We got married when our last one was just 7wks old on 27th Oct last year.. I had bought my dress 2yrs ago, but due to falling pregnant with the twins, then #4 it kept getting put off. We organised it in just 6wks too, then moved interstate from Wa back to NSW just 4 days after the wedding!! I guarantee you that if can do it & fit back into my dress, anyone can, lol. Have faith in yourself, u will have a blast.. And Congrats :celebrate:

So you're in the same boat SuperTrooper! I agree, photos up there would be amazing! One of my concerns is fitting into a dress too! Nothing like a bit of motivation!

Thanks Chocolate All Gone Now. Sounds like you had a blast! And planned in 5 weeks? I take my hat off to you!

MaybeAgain, that sounds like a beautiful casual wedding. And another organised quickly. Thanks!

2BabyBears, wow 7 weeks! You did very well! I'm inspired.

Thanks for all your replies. You've all given me a lot of confidence in pulling this off!

I think it's do-able! I was slimmer when DD was 3 months old compared to when I got married 10 months later too :p

Good luck.
