Hi, I've been going through IVF since November last year. Have had two IVF with ICSI cycles and one frozen cycle. I did fall pregnant on the third cycle but lost the baby at 16 weeks (2 months ago) I have just started a fresh cycle. We aren't telling anyone that we are trying again yet. Is anyone out there going through a cycle this month, would love to have someone to chat with. I'm very anxious this time round but haven't got my hopes up as it talk 3 goes last time.

Hello there,
I have had one unsuccessful IVF/ICSI split, in april this year....... and we are now on our second cycle , Day 3 of syranel..... so heres crossing our fingers, last cycle we had 20 eggs retreived, 11 embryos, two put back, and none were good enough to freeze,,,,,,, so now we start all over again,
I am very relaxed this time, having my own home based bussiness is keeping me from getting anxious ... last time we were just two confident , and gee did we come crashing down with the negative result,,,,,, this time we remain hopefull again but are trying to not let it rule our whole existance........... its hard when a new baby (my sister inlaw is due next month, The first grandchild) i am happy for her, but none of them understand how hard this process is,,,,,, thus the reason this forum is so great! :) ........... well more water for me as hyperstimulation was my set back last cycle...... good luck and have a great day

Yes, its hard not to be envious, my sister-in-law is due in December, wasn't even trying. If my pregnancy had continued I would have been due 1st week February, just hits home every time I see her and I do wish her all the best but can't help but be hurt.Lee-Ann

Hi,
My names Rachel and Im just going through my 2nd cycle, ET tomorrow so pretty nervous and anxious at the moment. Have been trying to fall pregnant for 2 1/2 yrs and went through icsi. My first attempt resulted in a cancelled cycle as my hormones decided not to behave. I had 14 eggs collected with 7 being usable. My first ET was obviously unsuccessful and was one of the most devasting moments of my life as my first blood test was really good so hopes were very high. This time we haven't told anyone and trying not to get our hopes up and keep life as normal as possible.

Anyway its been great to stumble across this forum and have the opportunity to talk to others going through the same thing and understand the emotional rollercoaster you go through.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Rachel, I have 2nd scan on Tuesday with EP probably Friday. This is my third ICSI cycle, 2nd time I fell pregnant. We've also kept it to ourselves this time trying to keep our lives normal. I check my email daily so if you want to keep in touch, please do. From the scan I had yesterday looks like I only have eight follicles, but they say nice looking ones, just hope to get two good embryos to last 5 days to transfer. Good luck.

Hi Lee-ann,
8 follicles is good - better than none and hopefully they will be good ones if there aren't as many. My ET went well on Friday I was more nervous this time than the first time which is strange. Not feeling very confident for some reason but maybe Im just trying to talk myself down so that its not such a disappointment should it be a negative result. I have my first blood test on Wednesday. Trying to take things easy with out wrapping myself in cotton wool like I did last time. However, I shouldn't really complain as Ive only had to go through ICSI once so far and there are so many like yourself that have gone through it several times. Goodluck for the rest of your scans.

Hi All

I just wanted to tell you that my girl was an IVF (ICSI) conception (13 weeks old now). Second attempt successful (even though we had to do ART because of my partner).
We will go for our second child (ICSI again) sometime next year hopefully. Would love to chat with you all about ART, even though I am not going through it right now, I hope I can help and offer some insight and hope with a success story.

Stay sane and best of luck with your attempts.. and scans.

The picture of your daughter is just gorgeous. You are very lucky!

l'm doing IVF (ICSI) as well - although we have had 3 OPU's and we are just about to have our 9th ET. So far we have been unsuccessful. :(

l hope that one day l can be like you and share my success story with others.

Thanks for posting as we IVF'ers do like to hear success stories, it's enough to keep us going!
