The dude is nearly 15 months old and showing no signs of walking alone. He furniture cruises, but does not look like letting go anytime soon...

I am not worried, but I do wonder of course when it will happen. What is the latest you know of little people starting to walk?

I know a few people who has children who would hang on and push things around for ages but not walk by themselves. A good friend of mine has a little girl and she didn't start walking solo until she was about 18 - 18 1/2 months old.

It's not classed as walking late until they are 18 months old...then it's worth getting them checked out by a GP. More than likely there is nothing wrong but at 18 months is when they recommend you get them checked if they still aren't walking.

My DS #2 didn't walk until around 17months. I to thought he was never going to walk alone. So I wouldn't worry to much at this stage. In a way I think it's easier if they aren't walking, cos they can't go as fast.

My first DS didn't start walking on his own till he was just over 19mths, 2 weeks after we brought home DS2. He had been furniture walking for months but just did not feel comforatble in letting go. We didn't push him just encouraged him. He also was slow to crawl. I used to stress about it but my Gp at 18mths was not concerned as she said because he was furniture walking and alert and aware he would do it in his own time.It is hard not to worry as everyone says "Oh isn't he walking yet?".He is the latest of all my friend but now that he is walking he is almost running after only a couple of months. He was doing it but just not on his own.
My little guy does what he likes and likes was he does.
