View Full Version : Disposable nappies
Just wondering what people have found to be good disposable nappies. We've tried the dymples from big w and they always leaked - I don't like them. We're now using baby love and DS only leaks at night now so just wondering what others have found to be good ones???
i use the coles ones (green packet with gumnut babies)
the absorbency and fit for both my girls have been great
I had the same trouble with babylove - I've changed over now to the Safeway brand ones (not the 'select' just the ones in the white pack) I've had DD in them for about 6 weeks and only had 1 night leak. They hold alot!
Yep, the Coles ones are good... didn't leak for us.
Sadly though, DS gets nappy rash in EVERY brand disposable other than Huggies. It's so annoying, I wish I could save a few dollars on nappies.

DS leaks in every nappy except snugglers and huggies. DD wears Coles brand, as mentioned above. Never had any troubles with them!
Another huggies baby here, after trying Woolies, Aldi, Baby Love, Snugglers, Pampers... 8 months on, no nappy rash, leaks or blow outs *shrug* ..I try and save money on other products by buying in bulk when on special.

Huggies are the only ones that haven't leaked for me, except when bubs is on her tummy and has a poosplosion, dont think any nappy could survive that

I always use huggies now, we used pampers when we first had DS and they were great until he got to a month old and constantly wet through them. So we went to huggies and he hasnt leaked wee or poo and hasnt had a single rash!
We did try baby love as we went shopping one week and there was no huggies... he got a rash and constantly wet through them so we got rid of them and have always used huggies. I have heard that Aldi brand is good but we dont have one even close to us. :)

Babylove nappy pants hold more then the normal babylove nappies. My DS wore the normal nappies during the day and nappy pants at night.

It is often a case of finding the right ones for your baby. The fit is really important for avoiding leaks.
A long body or skinny legs etc mean that some fit better than others so you'll probably need to try a few and see what works.
Also check the sizing carefully. I found nappies leak when they are getting too small.
It might be helpful to get the bigger size e.g. if bub is 7kgs get the 6-10kgs size rather than 4-8kgs.

My son is in cloth but we use Huggies when we go on holidays, and have never had an issue. We tried some cheap ones we were given, Mama something (?) and they were terrible. I think you get what you pay for with most baby products.
