View Full Version : invite help
 everyone i was just wandering if any one could tell me how to design my own birthday invites it is my ds 4th birthday coming up and i wanted to make my own invites...
Hi there, visit your local art and craft store and check out what they have. You can buy lots of different coloured and textured cards, stickers and lettering packs. The Reject Shop has a small selection of craft stuff including items for scrapbooking that could be useful. You could also use rubber stamps. Check out some online card making supplier websites, they sometimes have sample ideas which you could refer to for some ideas. Have fun getting creative!
if u have a scrapbooking store near you they always have lots of ideas, and if not try places like big W they have lots of different stickers and paper
If you are good on the computer you can make the invitations digitally and get them printed out on good quality paper. I did invites for DS's first birthday and DH's 40th and everyone thought they looked great. Lots of fun and gives you great scope for design - I used scanned photos with effects, different font sizes and colours, clip art etc.
I got my some of my sons artwork that he had done at daycare, put a photo of my son on each card (from ones i already had) and there you go,free cards,it didn't cost a cent.your childs artwork also makes great wrapping paper for all those birthdays we seem to go to these days.........
Since i have been a Hub Bbubber i have notied that they have a card swapp where they make cards and invites and stuff like that and post them on the thread a website.
I have looked on there and there is some very nice ideas in which you could prolly change the number 1 to a 4
My sister in-law always designs something on her computer, prints them out and sends. It's a cheaper option!
