So we ended up making our move to Adelaide, and we're here and settled.. and this is the hard part.. meeting people and making friends - I kinda suck at it being on the shy side.
But I'm here and would love to get to know other mum's around the place.
I'm in the southern suburbs and have 3 young boys - 5, 3 and almost 1!
So  and looking forward to hopefully getting to know some people :D

Hello! I am of no help re: Adelaide friends currently - but my DP and I will be relocating there after our bub is born in June. So I will find myself in your same situation in a few short months!
Where have you moved from? Whereabouts do you live, and if you don't mind my asking, how did you choose to live there over anywhere else?
I have a couple of friends in Adelaide but will be keen to meet other mummys & daddys for DP and me to hang out with. All my friends are childless so other parents would be lovely to add to the mix.
I think we'll be either in Queenstown or somewhere down near Christies Beach. We love the beach but have 3 massive dogs so need somewhere pet friendly!
:smiliedance: Hooray for Radelaide!!

Bec - Congrats on bubs! :goodvibes:
The kids and I just moved down from Qld! Big move, but I'm originally from down here and spent a lot - or some - of my childhood here between moving around the rest of Aus! I'm in the Marian district... I based my suburb on the school I wanted my eldest to get into, so I had to live in the right zone, and thankfully was able to get a rental there before he started!
I hardly know anyone, all my mates are back in Qld so I'm itching to meet people!
I'm not all that far from Christies Beach either! :D
CB - I've messaged you back :)

Woot! More Southerners!
I'm in the Morphett Vale area. My DS is 17 months old and DD is due in June. I've been in Adelaide for nearly 10 years now, but I don't really have any friends, especially ones with kids (I started young ).
I've joined with a couple of groups but most of the meetups are up North which I can't really get to, so it'd be great to meet some more Southerners!
Welcome to Adelaide :smiliedance:

Welcome to Adelaide. We're South of Adelaide, Seacliff. Lived here from day 1 lol. DP and I have two girls 3yr olds and 7months.
We attend Seacliff Kindergym during the week and there are lots of other parents from all around South of Adelaide that attend.
Every now and then I take the girls to Play 'n' Fun located on Beach Road, Chrisites Beach.
Would love to meet other parents this way. Most of my friends that have kids all live out north of Adelaide :(

Lollie - good luck with your TTC! Fingers crossed for a sticky baby! Where abouts on the southside are you!?
Bec - hopefully the time flies for you! It's not *that* far away... but I know what it's like to wait to move too! We will have to get some meets and things organised!
Emxy - you're not that far away either! We often go to the beach there! It's gorgeous! I haven't had any luck finding playgroups and the likes... I'm probably looking in the wrong places!
Do people have facebook? perhaps we could make a group and all get to know one another and chat more on there?

I've pm'ed you back :D
 SB - I love it down here too! A lot different to Qld, but I finally feel at home again. Certainly missed it! My grandparents live out that way, so I spent a bit of time there as a kid! I hear you on the connection with people front... the mum's at the school are only just sort of starting to talk to me... I'm kinda shy so it's hard
I've made a facebook group for us all, it's closed so only the people in it can see everything! So let me know if you'd like to be a part and I will pm you the link :D
