Hi Just curious if there are any Mums from the hunter valley (i am more near Thornton Maitland area) Who would like to catch up for coffee play-dates or window shopping. I have a 2 and a half yr old son. So please either feel free to Pm or comment below this may not be for a few wks as we are a one car family atm but it will happen.

I think so i live like 15 mins up the freeway to Thornton and about 45 mins to Newcastle so that's why i think better to go to Maitland/ Thornton then Newcastle and it good for you to so you won't have to travel far.

Though now thinking i think when we met up before we were just moving.

Can't wait to catch up with you and see your ds again.

And yeah a couple wks sounds great as i said we are a one car family atm so my car has died and dp needs his car for work.

So within a few wks we will hopefully have another car :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:.

I'm in east maitland :) would be fun to catch up with other mums. The library behind greenhills runs baby book time on thursdays and they have a cafe and play area out the back.

Hi

Welcome New mums.

Okay at the moment i am thinking around the Maitland/greenhillls area.

The library sounds great i think i have been there before but forgot it had a play area.

Okay so know to the big Question which days are you free?

and what time suits you best?

I want to try and get an area where all our children and us can be involved.

My ds is 2
Evelen3Elven's son is 11 months
Kristy's twins are 2

So if i am judging this right a park would probably be a good bet i will do a Google search for parks and cafes around Maitland/ hunter area and i will get back to you.

As i don't have a car it will be hard for me to get to these and it's hard to say when i will get my new car (hopefully soon).

If you Ladies want to do a couple of get togethers feel free to do so.

Hope to catch up soon.

My bubba is 11months as well. Not having a car in maitland is awful I know. Especially with poor public transport.

If that's fine with you all will see when everyone is free and set it up from there.

Hope I'm not jumping on things a little early as my son isn't due untill July but I'd love to meet some local mums. I live in Abermain but Maitland isn't that far, it saddens me a little that there isn't much in the hunter unless you go to Newcastle.

I'd live to meet up :), transport might be an issue but I can try and work something out

Transport will be an issue for me as well as I don't drive and I'm a little nervous about taking the pram on a bus as I've never done it before and don't really know what to do. But like you I will work something out because I'd love to make new friends.

Where area do you live in?

zombiekitty

Thornton.

So I'm like 80% sure there are regular buses that go to greenhills. I'll have to check though. I think you can hire prams at greenhills (something else I'll check) so to make it easier for me I might just carry DS on the bus then hire a pram and depending on what time we decide I could probably get DP to pick us up. See I'm trying to work something out lol I need friends!

Yes you can lend a pram. Just bring ID and they are free :)

There is no direct transport to Greenhills from my area but I would try to get a lift in with family, I don't drive either. I'd love to make friends and I'm getting stuck at home alot.

Okay great to hear Crazy :).

What day suits you best.

I am fine with any day.

I was thinking Maitland park first as it's a really great big park and the kids can run for all their might lol.
