TUMS!!!!

i cannot recommend them more!!

i loved them in america and when i saw them in the shops i was liKE YES SWEET JESUS!!! A DECENT TASTING (AND GREAT WORKING) heartburn tablet thingie.

They are great, and about the same price as rennies and mylanta.

I tried EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING and only RENNIE WORKED.

So that is my suggestion - but you probably didn't want to hear that. LOL

Yep, here too. Spent a ton of money trying different things and Rennie was the only thing that had the slightest effect.

I had severe heartburn I would burp in my sleep & then vomit & I just lived on mylanta & milk but in my last month the OB told me I could take Zantac & it gave me the relief I needed.

Just make sure what you are taking does not contain aluminium, as it can lead to birth defects. As far as I know Rennie are fine, some Mylanta are ok and some Gaviscon too, but most heartburn tabs have aluminium and calcium carbonate as the active ingredients.

I drank milk when i got heart burn with both pregnancy, found that was cheap and so effective. It worked every time with me and because i cant drink milk straight it was a excuse for a big glass of milo.

Rennies and Zantac. You can buy Zantac over the counter but should talk to your Doctor first.

I took 1 tablespoon of slippery elm powder mixed with Jalna yoghurt to help with mine and it worked a treat! (wasnt too keen on taking too much stuff while pregnant)

these mylanta tablets contain aluminium hydroxcide 400mg so does that mean i cant take it as on the packet it says pregnant woman dont take more than the reccommended dosage

I took mylanta tabs all throughout my two pregnancies as I had severe heartburn and all is well with both my bubs.

Raw almonds chewed slowly.

I had ziplock bags of almonds in the car, at work, in my handbag, next to the bed......

Good for the folate intake, too.

Try ENO not to sure about how it goes with pregnency but its just a powder that you mix with water and drink. You can buy it at the suppermarkets.

well i asked the chemist about the extra strenght mylanta tablets and they said it should be ok but would reccomend sticking to regular mylanta. I thought i might see if i can exchange it for renni tablets

A tsp of bicarb dissolved in water works pretty well (but it tastes disgusting!). I find drinking a big glass of water helps too, especially when I don't feel like having it for some reason

i like quick eze chewables. They're like a mintie taste so nicer than the powdery taste of rennie tabs. They work really well!

I have suffered heartburn from day 1. I find milk helps alot and if really bad then Gaviscon liquid.

I swear almonds are the best way to relieve heartburn. I get it so badly I feel like I'm going to be sick. The doctor prescribed me Zantac that does the job but don't really like taking medicine being pregnant. I was at my Mums place and read her Natural Remedies book that mentioned munching on 10 - 12 almonds works. Bonus is they are really yummy!

I went to the doctors and she also gave me maxalon and a perscription version of zantec casuse its cheaper! I had REALLY bad heart burn so i ure to sleep with 5pillows! ah those were the days.... lol

For the last half of my pregnancy I had heartburn daily and I lived on TUMS....in fact I should of had shares in them. Tried the Rennie, they are okay, but my Ob recommended TUMS and the orange taste isn't too bad.
