Yuck, yuck, and double-yuck!

Does anyone have advice on how to treat what's afflicting my mouth? I've had a really revolting taste on my tongue for two weeks (it comes and goes a bit, but seems to be getting worse over time). I wouldn't describe it as "metallic" - just "yech". And for the last few days I've also had reflux, for the first time in my life. Mmm mmm - that vomity taste in the back of my throat complements the revolting tongue nicely!

If anyone has tips on what to do - or when I can expect these things to go away of their own accord - I'd be much obliged!

Thanks

I just wanted to say I know what you mean!! I can't find anything to make mine
go away either. I was drinking a juice drink the other day and it tasted like I was
drinking straight cough syrup  YUCK!! It was so nasty and water has a funky
taste.....Just about everything I like taste nasty right now bc of that. I can just
be sitting there and all the sudden I just taste something nasty...IDK what causes
it but I feel ya on that one......

I find eating natural almonds helps the reflux, or chewing Tums Antacid tablets.

I was recommended Gaviscon for it, but I can't get it down - the consistancy of the liquid makes me gag and vomit - stops reflux and heartburn, yes, but by removing the stomach acid to the OUTSIDE - not quite what I am after.

The bad taste in the mouth - what about brushing your teeth more frequently, sipping weak herbal teas (choose the herbs carefully), or sucking on Preggie Pops (just not the lavender ones, they are awful. I found the sour fruit Preggie Pops were best. Those are the things that helped me.

Thanks, Aardvaark. I bought myself some almonds this morning and am munching away. So far today, so good - my mouth feels almost normal!!

Mylanta tablets and chewing gum gave me some relief.
