Generally the first person to speak to is your priest/pastor/minister. A Christening is more than just a party, it's about your children becoming part of God's family.
The first thing I did was contact my church(where I got married) & organised a date then I went in & talked with the priest & he met DD, I filled out the paperwork & that was that.
You give a donation on the day to the church.
After that it is up to you what you do to celebrate & how much you spend.
I made DD's little head band & socks & I made her christening cake.
Good Luck with it.

ive spoken to my patser and he said hell do it and im welcome to have it at my church so that a good thing  would u all put ur kids in white gowns or suits? i had dresses i picked out ages ago but then i didnt know when i should do it. now that ive pick what months and who and where im getting it done i was wondering if you could give adive on anything eles i would need to think bout ect
My DD was 5.5mths when she was christened so I got her a beautiful Victoria Rose Dress from Myer it was cream & I made her a beautiful headband out of a good quality stocking & a small cream rose.
If you have organised the church part & the Godparents there is not much more to it. Our church included a christening candle some do not so maybe look into that.
Other than all that it is just deciding what to have afterwards!!

Ummm I would put you kiddies in whatever you want!...it's such a special day.
Also maybe think about what time...what are good times for the kids, what sort of party you want after...
