Rylan did his first roll from tummy to back at 4 weeks :) He is a strong little fella - always lifting his head up when he's laying on your chest and loves to push his feet against things.

Gail thanks for updating our SMILE's list :)

BFK How wonderfull to see Amelia laugh like that - that would have warmed your heart and soul  Can I ask what she was laughing at?

Rylan has had a few goo's and coo's that are similar to a little laugh but not quite a good old cackle iykwim. He started doing that at about 5.5 weeks.

Rylan is very interested in the little things attached to the end of his arms. He has also started to touch and grab his rattles and dangling toys on his pram/ bassinet and rocker :yelclap: He loves the ones that talk back at him when he touches them too :D

Brylee has found her hands but not her feet yet, is squealing, laughing and smiling LOTS, and is starting to think about rolling over...

Alex did an almost full circle on his playmat this evening from rolling on his side and back again and gently working his way around. Have been listening out for the baby noises from that progam and he's spent 2 hours without crying!!!

Hi Girls,

Tye is nearly 12 weeks old (11/9/06). His first smile was around 2wks! Huge open mouth smile, not windy at all!
2wks ago he rolled from tummy onto back. Last weekend he did the same thing 4 times and we got it on video! He has been trying from back onto tummy but the arm gets in the way!
Are your bubs chatting away all the time as well?
When we put Tye to bed, he is in his cot, down the bottom as they recommend, but we often wake up to him with his head where his feet should be, but up near the top of the cot. We have watched him and he arches his back and digs his heels in, subsequently turning around in what I kind of explain as the hand on a clock! He makes no real noise, apart from the quiet grunting so we don't see what he's up to until we all wake up!

Hi tyesmum

My bub Rylan smiled at two weeks too - I had to double check with the CHN as I couldn't believe it myself - my first DS first smile was at 4 weeks. Rylan is cooing and babbling back at us when we talk to him. He just melts my heart when I look into his smiley shinning eyes.

Tye sounds like a happy little fella full of life - just be sure to be on guard when he starts crawling

You are very welcome to come and join us in the September Bubs Summer Chat thread  lots of chitta chatta abouts our babies and ourselves :)

Enjoy your precious

Rylan had his first roll from back to tummy at 14 weeks on 29 December 2006 :smiliedance: He is now rolling himself over in his cot all the time and gets cranky when he ends up on his tummy  He has been rolling from tummy to back since about the 7-8 week mark.
