Just wondering. My dd has a healthy interest in food. Will try things and likes to play with her food and suck andd gum it etc but I'm not sure how much is actually getting to her belly?! She still has at least 8 breastfeeds a day if not more.

My baby isn't quite 7 months but close. He really loves his food. He has pureed veggies (carrot, sweet potato, zucchini, peas, pumpkin, broccoli etc) sometimes with a little cheese in it, pureed fruit (apples, pears, peaches, blueberries etc), mashed banana, yoghurt, custards, baby cereal. He has 3 meals a day and usually a couple of tablespoons at each meal. He is FF and has 4 bottles a day. Your DD sounds like she is enjoying her booby milk ATM. Food at this age is more like just experimentation not so much a need for nutrition :)

DS is 7 months corrected and on 3 meals a day. He LOVES his food! He has rice cereal and toast for breakfast, meat and veges for lunch and again for dinner. He eats about 3/4 a cup at each meal and would probably eat even more if i let him!

Eek dd is probably having nowhere near that much food I am hoping she will start to actually eat more of it as she enjoys the idea of it but just doesn't swallow much.. Her father is in seafood and fishing industry and he has fed her. All types of fish which she seems to love more than anything.. That and acacado. Everything else is more for play

We did BLW and really my DS didn't start eating huge amounts until maybe 8 months, bm/formula is most important until 1 and it's great she's trying new things ( fish was my sons favorite - and still is at 15 months!) let her keep playing she will get the hang of it soon, it sounds like you are doing a great job!
