Hi all, my partner and myself have been TTC for 2 years, iv tried clomid which didnt work, i heard that if you have a break then start again that could help, so i stopped going to my specialist, now its been about a year and im ready to start again iv found a new specialist and next month i have my first appointment, im going into this not very hopeful at all because iv been so disappointed in the past, within the year iv lost 10kgs and im finally getting my period again (every 6 months or so) My worry is that if iv already tried clomid and it didnt work back then, what would change this time? I want this so bad and im tired of being let down. I no there's other medications but clomid is the most common, please give me your advice and tell me your stories i would love to hear them.

I've been trying for 2 years with PCOS aswell. Although I am not the 'regular' candidate for it. I am thin, so losing weight for me wasn't an option.
I have heard that many women with PCOS that lose weight have a greater chance of conception. Since you have lost some weight, it may work for you this time around?
I myself only tried Clomid once, but it was unprescribed and unmonitored and I knew that I was starting IVF the next cycle anyway.
I hope it works for you this time around! :fingerscrossed:

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months after starting TTC. We saw fs with more test carried out.
I lost 20-30 kilos and started oral clomid after four years of TTC. We did clomid for a 13 months.
After 5 years we stated iui. We did five cycles while I continued to lose more weight.
We had a few months break at the end of that year and were due to go back to fs in a few weeks to start iui again when we found I had cancer. I had 6 months of chemo where I found it ironic that we needed to use condoms.
I got my remission status -1-2 months after chemo was finished and my doctors gave me the go ahead to TTC and I contacted my fs to go back to iui in the new year. Than I found out I was pregnant.
Falling pregnant with this bub was hard to we TTC for 14 months including a miscarriage before getting this sticky bub
Good luck I hope you get your BFP
Hi OP :)
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years back (can't remember how long ago) I was devastated to say the least, DH and I stated ttcing in early 2010 but for years before I longed to be a mother. After a couple of months with BFN I was put in touch with a Chinese Medicine man, my OB had wanted us to try for 8 months before prescribing any meds (this broke my heart because I wanted to be pregnant there and then)
After a couple of months (3 I think) I fell pregnant however it turned out to be a chem pregnancy but low and behold two weeks after my loss we conceived again, my little boy is now 10mths old and a true blessing.
TBH I don't think I would have conceived without the Chinese medicine (or another intervention) I lost 10kgs before starting ttcing too.
I'm not sure if you can search for my post back then but I think the title was "I finally feel in control"
I wish you all the best and I hope you get a BFP very soon.
