View Full Version : What to buy a 1yr old??
hey everyone, now you may think this is a stupid question considering i have an almost 3yrold also but thats the problem, dd#1 has got SO much stuff during her almost 3years and i am seriously not joking, we are struggling to find something different for dd#2. they have all the babies, prams, walking frame toys(aka hippo with blocks) climbing toys, books, jumpoline, tents, teddy bears, cars, bikes.. and more. i've found dd#1 quite easy as shes getting older and has an opinion as to what she likes but i dont want to end up buying dd#2 only clothes.
so my question is what can i buy that is unique for a 1yr old girl??? or just something your one year old absolutely loved??
thanx heaps!
I know where you're comng from Shezi, I think we'll be in the same boat next year after DD#2 arrives.
Have you looked at the LeapPad range? They have a number of things for 12months and are educational as well as something to play with.

If you haven't already got one a fisher price incredicube. My DS1 just loves his. he is still playing with it and he got it for his 1st b'day, and he''l be 2 on Monday. And if you've got peek a boo blocks with the hippo then they go with the incredicube too. Although if you can get it on sale or second hand it's a lot cheaper
Our little one was given an inflatable activity and ball pit and a small plastic slippery dip for her 1st birthday. Both of these were a hit at the party with all the kids, and are still faves now that she's a little older.
Those incredicubes are awesome too, so many different activities - wish I could afford one!
