so I was told with GD not to have any readings over 7. All my reading this far have been under 7 (I am currently 30weeks was diagnosed at 19 weeks)
but today 2 hrs after lunch I got a reading of 7.7 i ate the same stuff i eat everyday for lunch its not too far over 7 and is the 1st time I've been over 7 should I panic??
No, don't panic. I was told three in a row over target, either three consecutively or three lunches or three dinners, etc and then contact my diabetes educator. Before I started insulin I had quite a lot of overtarget readings, at least one a day right before insulin. To help avoid insulin though more gentle exercise would help. But definitely don't stress, a lady in my birth group was getting readings of 10 occasionally.
I go over 7 all the time and bub is doing just fine (and not big at all). I'm currently 24 weeks (been on insulin since 8 weeks) and work on 3 or more highs in a few days in a row (or a pattern emerging then I call the diabetes clinic at my local hospital or as I also see the endo fortnightly discuss it then.
Just see how you go and if you get a couple more call your local diabetes clinic or endo.
My insulin dose has changes numerous times over this pregnancy and with DS is changed almost weekly towards the end.

I also wouldnt be concerned with 1 high reading. Mine were all over the place and all was fine. I was told a one off is nothing to be worried about. hope it settles for you so you dont stress.
