so how do u feel about using 2nd hand nappies? I haven't done it and feel that it doesn't quite sit right with me....having the thought that someone elses bub has pooed in them...lol. I might change my opinion, I've sold some on but only ones that have not been used or used a few times. Am I being silly, what r your thoughts on it?

Doesn't faze me one bit and i'm not the kinda of person for second hand goods funny enough. I think aslong as i know that it's coming from someone who is ermm.. hygenic/clean then no worries, you are going to wash it when you recieved it anyway. I wouldn't buy off anyone im 'unfamiliar' with KWIM.

to me it is the same as buying second hand clothes. as long as you wash it before you use it - everything is as good as new.
most of the stuff in my house is second hand too including most of the furniture. some people just throw away the best stuff :D

I brought all of Matthews terry flats from Vinnies (cost me $2 for 2 dozen!!) and it didn't bother me at all. They were all spotless, bright white and I gave them a good soak and wash before use, then dyed them blue.

I don't have a problem at all with second hand nappies... :)
the only thing I'm wary about is making sure the elastic is still ok - nothing worse than saggy elastic.

Yup, like everyone else, I have 2nd hand nappies among my stash. To me it's just like 2nd hand clothes (of which there's a lot in our home too ;)) and I always wash the 2nd hand nappies before putting them on DD. I think it's a cheap way of nappying newborns. I bought a heap of newborn-size home-made fitted nappies off ebay and they were great!

I don't know about second hand nappies. It doesn't really sit right with me. I wouldn't buy second hand undies and wear them myself, so I wouldn't by second hand nappies for my kidlets to wear. But that's just me.
My DH has always said that God was very generous with the amount of "fussy genes" he gave me! :D

I don't have a problem with using second hand nappies. About half the nappies I have are second hand.
DH has some issues with second hand stuff in general, unless he knows the person it's coming from. If I buy second hand nappies (usually off ebay) and he asks about them, I tell him they were advertised as 'new' or 'washed but not worn'. Most of the stuff I've brought has looked almost new anyway.

No problems with second hand nappies here. All our terry flats are second hand, from eBay and friends. I've bought a couple of second hand fitteds, too. No big deal. :) My breast pump is second hand from eBay, too; I sterilised it when it arrived, and it's been a great help since! Personally I'd always go second hand with most things before I looked to purchase them as new. Who needs extra costs?

I think its fine. I like op shopping and ebaying. It s wasteful to buy new all the time.
Saying that I have only one 2nd hand nappy!

I am totally fine with 2nd hand nappies as long as they are in reasonably good condition(hint hint anyone who wants to sell when there done:p)
